This is the same AU as before, Jarin is Ledus' guardian and way too over protective. Tyel comes and goes as he pleases, Ledus is very sickly, that's why he is kept locked up at home, Kade came back from abroad and has taken a liking to Ledus, often helping him sneak out to see the world. Ledus and Kade have only known each other for a few months now.
**I forgot to mention it last time but in the AU, Ledus is 17 while Kade and Jarin are 25. Tyel is 27.**
"Ledus, this year I'll be able to join you for thanksgiving!" Jarin called out excitedly, pulling the boy into a gentle hug. Ledus let out a small laugh, enjoying the attention.
"So does that mean we will spend the whole day together?!" His eyes lit up like two stars as he awaited Jarin's reply.
"The entire day." he replied with a nod. Ledus face lit up into a bright smile.
"Is...is Tyel coming too?" Jarin let go of the boy and walked over to his door.
"Ask him." he opened the door and there stood Tyel. Ledus Jumped up and ran over to the tall man. He jumped into his arms hugging him tightly. They hadn't seen each other for about a month so they were both very happy to see each other again.
"Hey little one. I missed you kiddo." Tyel ruffled his hair as he smiled down at the boy.
"How long are you going to stay?"
"Come on Ledus, let's go downstairs into the living room to talk. We can make some tea and I'll even let you have some cookies." Ledus' eyes sparkled at the mention of cookies. He quickly nodded his head. He grabbed Tyel by his hand and led him down stairs. Ledus sat on the couch with Tyel, cuddling close to him, while Jarin sat on the arm chair to the side. Although Ledus was allowed to have some cookies, Jarin had limited it to 2. Though Ledus did pout at that, he was just happy in general to be able to have any cookies.
They all had a very nice chat, talking about what Tyel had been up to, Jarin and Ledus telling him about what they had done since they last met, and then they moved on to talk about what they would do for thanksgiving.
They decided on Turkey as the main dish, some different sides, and Ledus even managed to get lemon bars as a dessert, after him and Tyel ganged up on Jarin. With dinner planned out, they finished their tea and went off to bed.

Ledus wore a soft blue button down shirt, khaki slacks, and a pair of dark brown dress shoes. Over all he felt quite happy with his choice in outfit. He knew it would only be the three of them, but he still wanted to celebrate the way others did. After brushing his hair he ran down stairs and joined Jarin and Tyel in the living room. They had put on the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade and were waiting for the floats to pass by. Ledus sat down on the arm chair, attention glued to the t.v. screen.
The parade was full of crazy balloons, Ledus wished he could be there in person to see them, that way he wouldn't have to listen to the news reporters the whole time. He hated that they were so vain they had to show the news casters more often than the parade. As the video switched back, once again to the news casters, there was a knock at the door. Ledus looked at Jarin and Tyel to see their reactions. Seeing as they lived in a rather large mansion, one with a coded gate at the entryway, they never received visits from salesman or missionaries. So Ledus couldn't even guess who might be at their door.
Jarin stood up and went to answer it. Ledus now super interested in who could be at the door, tried to nonchalantly get a glance of the visitor. He stood up and took the long way to get to the kitchen to retrieve a glass of water. As he passed the entryway he saw Jarin welcoming Kade into the house. Kade noticed Ledus peeking at him and smirked. "Good to see you again Ledus." The boy froze, looking down at the ground, a bit embarrassed about being caught. Jarin looked over at Ledus, a little perplexed as to why he was there but smiled and called him over anyways.
"Ledus, you remember Kade, don't you?" Ledus nodded with a blush. He knew Kade all too well, in fact, after the Halloween visit, Ledus had come to realize he had a huge crush on the handsome and mischievous man.
"It's nice to see you again K-Kade."
"Kade had called me the other day. I asked him what his plans were for today, but seeing as all of his family lives very far away, he told me he would be spending the day alone at his apartment so I invited him to join us."
"So he'll be here the entire day?" Ledus questioned. Kade gave him another cocky smirk.
"Actually he'll be here for the entire weekend. I figured it would be fun for the three of us to hang out like we did in the past." Ledus' smile dropped slightly. He knew that when Jarin said the three of them, he meant Kade Tyel and himself. In the past, Ledus was still being beaten and neglected by his former foster parents. Jarin noticed the drop in the boy's mood and quickly changed the subject. "So, what were you about to do Ledus?"
"Oh, I was going to get a glass of water." Jarin gave him a puzzled look, wondering why he had come this way to get it.
"Well, how about you take Kade to the living room, I'll go grab drinks for all of us. what would you like to drink Kade?"
"I'm fine with whatever you get." Jarin nodded and headed back to the living room to ask Tyel what he wanted to drink. Ledus and Kade slowly followed him. When they arrived, they saw Tyel and Jarin walking out of the room together.
"So, Ledus, how have you been?" Kade asked, stepping a little too close to Ledus. The boy instantly stumbled away, mumbling out his broken reply of fine. "Just fine, you haven't tried to escape on your own yet?"
"I w-would never...If something happened to me, Jarin would be so sad. I don't want to do that to him."
"So what you're saying is," he took a step towards Ledus and placed a finger under his chin, lifting his face so that he would look into his eyes. "You'll only go out with me?" Ledus' face was as red as an apple. He quickly turned his head away and began fiddling with the cuffs of his shirt.
"I mean, I wan to go out with you...I mean like going out with you-as in going to places...but, but I just...I-" At this point he didn't even know what he was trying to say anymore. He just stared down at his feet fighting back tears of embarassment.
"Hey, it's ok, I like sneaking you out too." a pang shot through Ledus' heart, Kade didn't say he liked going out with him, or being with him, he just liked to sneak him out.
"U-um, we should s-sit and watch the parade." he mumbled out, sitting back down on the arm chair and facing away from Kade. "Why can't I just be normal? He must think I'm some pathetic fool." Ledus glanced back at Kade to see him starring blankly at the t.v. screen. Jarin and Tyel came back in holding two cups each. They passed out the drinks and took a seat next to Kade on the couch.
"Just talked with the chef, lunch will be ready soon. The food smells drool worthy." Tyel informed them. While they waited, Kade, Tyel, and Jarin all talked about their high school days. Kade and Jarin had met their freshman year, while Tyel had been a junior at the time. They did everything together, and would make Tyel drive them everywhere.
"Remember that one time when we went to the park and someone called the police on us because we were acting stupid and singing loudly to the radio? They thought we were drunk!" Jarin laughed
"Oh, god, they even made us do all the quick tests like walking a straight line!" Kade added with a snort.
"And they looked at all of our drinks only to see that it was all soda!" They were all laughing their hearts out. It was a fond memory for them all.
"Alright gentlemen, lunch is ready. If you don't need anything else, I'll be heading out." The chef stood in front of them with a smile on her face. Jarin stood up and gave her a hug.
"Thank you so much Camelia, I don't know if we can thank you enough."
"Oh shoosh, you not only paid me double for working on a holiday, you also paid for all the ingrediants I needed for my own family dinner. Besides, I've been cooking for you since you were a spunky little brat running around in diapers, I would never deny you one of my meals." She smiled brightly at Jarin giving him a mother like hug. Jarin walked her out while the other three went into the dinning room.
Tyel and Kade sat across from each other, only leaving the seats next to them available for Jarin and Ledus. Although Ledus didn't want to sit next to Kade, due to his growing feelings, he knew that Jarin always sits next to Tyel so he took the seat next to Kade.
When Jarin came back in, they cut up the turkey and began filling their plates with food. Well all except Ledus, Jarin made sure to fix him a plate with 'proper proportions'. As expected of Camelia's cooking, the food was delicious and soon all of them were stuffed to the brim, well all except Ledus, he had only eaten one plate and then sat waiting for everyone to finish. He was waiting of the lemon bars.
"That was so good." Jarin looked over at Ledus with a knowing smile. "I bet no one can eat another bite."
"Um, I'm not t-too full...c-can I have a lemon bar?" he asked with pleading eyes. Jarin couldn't help but laugh as he looked at the puppy eyed boy.
"Yes, go ahead...I'll even let you choose which piece you want." Ledus excitedly collected his dishes and ran them over to the sink, neatly setting them on the counter top. He would have done them himself, but Jarin didn't ever let Ledus wash his own dishes. Ledus grabbed a small dessert plate and looked over the delicious golden bars, carefully examining each one before deciding on a larger bar with a heavy amount of powdered sugar on top. He entered the dinning room carrying his plate and a glass of water. He placed down his plate and ran back to the kitchen to grab a fork.
Jarin and Tyel laughed at his innocent excitement. Kade had picked up his dishes and taken them to the kitchen to wash. He also got a lemon bar and joined Ledus in the dinning room.
When Kade entered again, Jarin and Tyel stood up and began piling all of the dishes onto a cart to take them back into the kitchen to put away. "Want some help with that?" Kade asked the two men. Jarin turned to him with a slight blush as he shook his head.
"No thanks, we've got things under control." They pushed the cart out the door vanishing into the kitchen. Kade watched Ledus as he slowly indulged in his precious lemon bar.
"Like it?" Kade questioned with a smirk on his face. Ledus just nodded as he shoved another bite into his mouth. Kade smiled at the boy and softly ruffled his hair before taking a bite of his own bar. "So, what are plans for after you finish?"
"Um, I think Jarin and Tyel wanted to watch the football game...So I guess I'll sit there and just read a book." Kade chuckled at his reply.
"Hey, if you don't really want to watch the game, I'd be willing to play a game with you, or go into another room and watch a movie." Ledus looked over at him with a blush.
"But don't you want to watch the game?"
"I've never really been that into football, I'm more of a soccer fan." Ledus smiled as he looked back down at his lemon bar, finishing the last bite.
"I...I would like to p-play a game with you." When he glanced up, Kade had his signature, breath taking smirk. Ledus had to look away quickly. He collected up his plate and began to walk away but Kade stood up and blocked his path.
"Say Ah." Was all he said. Ledus tilted his head in confusion but he went ahead and did what Kade said. He opened his mouth and said Ah. Kade quickly placed the last bite of his own lemon bar in Ledus' mouth. He then took the dishes out of Ledus' hands. "You go pick out a game you want to play. I'll be over in just a bit" He stepped out of the room leaving an utterly shocked Ledus, redder than a ruby.
When he finally recovered he walked out of the dinning room and over the the game room. He grabbed 3 games, so as to let Kade have a bit of a choice in what they played. He grabbed a deck of cards, a chess board, and a trivia board game. He ran back over to the living room and sat on the couch pulling a blanket onto his lap. The games were laid out on the coffee table. He was excited to play with Kade, and if he was lucky, Jarin and Tyel would play as well.
The others joined him in the living room. Jarin flipped the t.v. to the game but he set the volume low. They all gathered around the coffee table and smiled at Ledus. "Which game are we playing?" Tyel asked him. Ledus' face held a bright smile as he pointed to the trivia game.
They all had a good time playing the game, of course Ledus won, he practically did nothing but study, but the sports and media questions did throw him off a bit. After a few more games, they decided to put on a movie. They turned off the lights and all got comfortable. Ledus was sitting by the arm rest on the couch, Kade was sitting in the middle while Tyel sat on the other end of the couch. Jarin was in the arm chair. As the movie progressed Kade noticed Ledus slowly getting closer and closer to him. Halfway through the movie Ledus was leaning on his shoulder, napping. Jarin laughed when he noticed this. "Sorry about that Kade, Ledus is a bit of a cuddle bug." Kade just shook his head.
"I don't mind." He even wrapped his arm around the boy, pulling him a bit closer.
"Hey, since he's napping, would you mind watching him for a bit? Tyel and I wanted to hit one of the stores for black friday deals."
"Sure man, no problem."
"Great! If he gets hungry again, he can have the leftovers, but no lemon bars. Other than that, he knows his schdule, the only thing you really need to worry about is if he has any health issues. Just call this number, then after call us." Jarin wrote down a number and handed it to Kade. "We'll be back later tonight." Jarin and Tyel left the room leaving Kade and Ledus alone.
