Another dull evening and dreary day is done and gone. Sometimes I wonder why we even watch them anymore. Eh, I don't even know why we started. Sure, many many generations ago, humans had some excitement in their lives. For example, danger, death, love, or even magic was a daily occurrence. There was a more primal nature, a nature that initially drew me to be a 'Watcher.' Now, humans live there entire lives falling short of there true potential. Sure they follow their basic plan or destiny, but so often they miss their life-changing moments. For example, my dear, dear Reader, I cannot remember the last time a good old 'true love' tale hit its mark. For all humans today, no matter how suitable they may seem, it has been nearly two centuries since two soulmates, as written in the 'Book of Love,' have gotten together.
What I believe Reader, is that humans have only these techno gadgets and doodads to blame. They either spend all day wasting away or heading out on self-destructive rampages. There is fear mongering in the media, and generations have lived only for there own self-interest. Why, oh, why does your kind even bother? I mean, Reader, that humans have been creatures of cruelty and destruction since the beginning of their species. The only changes that humans have gone through are the directions for there evil ways and that these actions are no longer tossed into the shadows and forgotten.
Sigh, but I never get to watch any of the evil ones anymore. I am just in charge of the 'Plain Jane' ones. Did I use that correctly? Whatever. Amb has washed up, tidied up, and headed to bed. Check, check, check. We might as well continue our tale of the Emerald Axe.
