*-This chapter is rushed, especially at the end, so I'm sorry. I was honestly so done with writing this one..... It wasn't fun, just because I want to get the main act, so to speak. Chapter #3 and #4 are probably just filler, as #5 is gonna really start kicking this story into gear. Anyways, enjoy this old stuff! -SBP-*

Pit yawned loudly and fell out of the door. “Ugh, why did you get me up so early, Lady Palutena? It’s only three in the morning.” He groaned as he was granted the power of flight.
“Sorry for doing this again, Pit, but there is an emergency that had to be attended to immediately.” Lady Palutena spoke as she controlled Pit’s flight path.
“Hngh, what could it be this time. And please, don’t say it’s weird bee-like Aurum aliens again….”
“I wish that were the case. Today we're facing something far worse. Worse than anything we’ve fought thus far.” Pit groaned again.
“Oh, that’s just peachy. What is it?”
“No need to sound like Pitto, now. We are going to fight a dragon that has been spotted near a small village. They have been worried the dragon might attack them, as it has been stealing some of their livestock.”
“But, it hasn’t hurt anyone…..., riiiiiight?”
“You are correct. It hasn’t harmed any human…… yet.”
“Yet? Uh oh, that doesn't sound too good.”
“And that’s why we're up so early! So we can eliminate the threat before it becomes an actual threat!”
“Smart thinking, Lady Palutena. Will Pittoo be joining us on this adventure?”
“Why don’t you look up and see for yourself, smart alec. And for the last time. Stop calling me Pittoo. It’s Dark Pit. I don’t go around calling you Pit Stain every day, now do I?”
“Um, actually, you do…”
“Well, that’s only because you always call me Pittoo. I’ll stop calling you Pit Stain once you stop calling me Pittoo.”
“But, I can literally call you Pit Stain too. You have “Pit” in your name.”
“Yeah, but you would call me Dark Pit Stain in order for it to work.”
“Okay, I’m pretty sure the reader has had enough of this Pit fight, so let’s get back on track here.” Lady Palutena interjected. “We’ll be going to the dragon’s den on Castlevar Mountain. Hopefully there we can defeat the thing before of wreaks havoc on the civilians.”
“Yeah, you're telling me. Any knowledge on the species of dragon it is?” Pit asked as he flew through the sky. There were no flying enemies in sight for a long while, so he was pretty safe for the moment.
“Civilians have reported the dragon to a massive one with different shades of blue scales.”
“So that leaves it to be one of three species: Sky, Water, or Lighting.” Dark Pit commented.
“Dark Pit is correct. Great job on remembering the different types of dragons! That’s at least one thing your knowledgeable on!” Viridi said with a chuckle
“I’m surprised we haven’t come across more in our years of fighting. I mean, we fought a phoenix before we’ve had a chance to fight a dragon!” Pit said
“That is true, but dragons were thought of to either be extinct or in hiding from the humans, as well as the gods,” Viridi said.
“By the way, you never told us where that liquid Vasin comes from.” Pit said as he looked around for any danger.
“Oh! You’re right, I’ve nearly forgotten! Now that we have a moment to breathe, allow me to spin this story’s web:
Long ago, when the gods were first creating their domains, there was one god who had sought to be an absolute ruler. He created vile, ruthless things and began corrupting every living creature ever created. Back then, all of us gods had to band together to extinguish this threat. This god’s name, was Salutar, the God of Corruption and Evil.” Palutena began.
“Even Hades joined in to stop him?!” Pit asked, shocked that Hades would actually band with the other gods. Then again, he did do so in the past when they fought the Aurum, but he wasn't completely on their side.
“Of course! Hades knew that he would be dethroned by Salutar, so he agreed to help us vanquish him. To do so, we all combined forces and stripped him of his physical presence. The only thing left of him was his mask, and in that mask, lies his soul. Whoever is foolish enough to wear the mask, will then find oneself under his control and will be able to use his powers.” Palutena paused for a second, pondering what she just said.
“Someway, somehow, somebody found the mask and is now trying to give him his body back, by any means necessary. Even by murdering anything in that person’s path” Viridi added.
“We have reason to believe that Quorra, Yin, Yang, the voice in Yang’s head, and this dragon might be working for whoever is trying to resurrect Salutar. I don't know how, or why this person wants to do so, but what I do know is that this person means business.”
“And by business, Palutena means this person wants to wreak havoc on this world. And I totally don’t approve of that! Just think of how much nature this person would destroy!”
“Not to mention, all of the human casualties. Though, I doubt you would care about the human casualties that much.”
“Those greedy monkeys destroy everything in their path! Especially nature! Your lucky that I don't have any more reset bombs, or I’d blow them back to before the dark ages!”
“Now, now, Viridi, we can talk about the humans later on. Right now, we need to focus on this dragon.”
“UGH, fine. But this conversation is far from over!” Lady Palutena chuckled at Virdid.
“Whatever you say, Viridi. Pit, we are approaching the dragon's den now. I’ll take you down now.”
“Thanks, Lady Palutena. I wonder why there aren’t any flying enemies….”
“AHAHAHAHAH! FOOLS! YOU’VE FLOWN RIGHT INTO MY TRAP! AHA!!” An unknown voice shouted. It seemed to be coming from all around the two angels as they flew. Then suddenly a chasm ripped open and a huge swarm of flying enemies erupted out.
“YOU JUST HAD TO JINX US, DIDN'T YOU PIT STAIN?!” Dark Pit shouted over the sudden burst of noise that came from these enemies.
“WELL I’M SORRY FOR STATING THE OBVIOUS, PITTOO!” Pit shot back as he began to fire at these enemies.
“AHAHAHAHA! YOU FOOLS ARE WORKING PERFECTLY FOR ME! THE MORE YOU FIGHT EACH OTHER, THE LESS WORK I HAVE TO DO TO KILL YOU! HECK, YOU MIGHT EVEN KILL EACH OTHER FOR ME!”
“Yeah, well sorry to burst your bubble of happiness, but I wouldn’t “kill” Pit Stain over here because if I do that, I’m ultimately killing myself in the end.” Dark rolled his eyes as he helped Pit take down the enemies.
“Awe, I was hoping you would do that for me…” THe sounded as if it was pouting. “Too bad. Guess I’ll have to do this myself then. MAster says your tough, but just how tough are you, exactly? Hm, guess I’ll find out soon enough. Now, I must be off to prepare for our battle. See you soon! Oh, and please try not to die to any of my traps in my lair. They are deadly after all!” With a final feminine giggle, the voice disappeared just as the ground had a few moments before.
“That must’ve been the dragon. But, I’m confused. How can she talk?” Palutena questioned as she helped Pit fly around.
“Well, that is something simple that I can explain. You see, she must be a sort of Dragonborn who can change into an actual dragon.” Viridi commented.
“Very good, miss nature pants. You have successfully stated the obvious!” The feminine voice chimed back in.
“Hey! You stay out of this!” Pit growled angrily as he took down some more monsters.
“Ohohoho! Somebody is feeling mighty sassy today I see! And would you look at that! You’re almost to my den, so congrats on making it this far! Most die to the pit on their first try!”
“What? What about me?”
“No, not you Pit, the pit below,” Viridi said, her voice laced with sarcasm. “You know, a chasm where all of these monsters are coming from?”
“Oh, that makes more sense…”
“Wait-. Pit? As in, the angel servant to Palutena, the goddess of light? That Pit?!”
“The one and only!”
“So, that must mean the other one is Dark Pit. Fascinating. Master said you would come... And here I was thinking you were another one of the humans trying to come fight me….. OH! So that’s why you didn't fall to your death in that chasm….”
“You know it!” Pit said with a confident smirk as he destroyed another pod of monsters.
“Be forewarned, dragonic scum! You will fall to us! Your reign of terror is over!” Dark Pit taunted as he helped Pit take down another pod.
“Oh, my children, you have it all wrong! My reign has only just begun! Master says if I can successfully take you down,
“Since when have we become “your children,” dragon lady?!” Dark retorted
“Oh, it’s just an expression, since you two are relatively young-looking.”
“Yeah, whatever. I can’t wait to blast that dragonic smirk off of your face.”
“Chill out, child. You’ll have your chance to try and fight me soon enough, though, don’t expect to win.”
“Pit, prepare for land battle! The mouth of the cave is dead ahead!”
“You’ve got it, Lady Palutena!”
☬☬☬☬☬☬
“Ngh-. Ugh, that was a bit of a rough landing, Lady Palutena.” Pit groaned, shaking his head as he stood up. He looked over to the wall and saw some floor food, so he ate it and healed up.
“Hurry up, Pit Stain. The ride isn’t over yet.” Dark Pit said as he dashed through the mouth of the cave. Both of them began to fire at enemies that began to surround them as the doors were blocked by blue swirling mist.
“Ugh, what IS this?!” Pit complained as he went over to the mist. He touched it and yelped in pain. “Okay, remind me NOT to touch that again!” He heard a bunch of feminine laughter and instantly felt flustered.
“Oh, poor Pit! You know that’s an impenetrable barrier!” Palutena said, laughing still.
“You can’t just chicken out like a coward and try to run. You have to fight in order to move on, Pit Stain.”
“I wasn’t! I promise! I just-........ Ran into it!”
“Uh-huh, sure you did, Pit.” Viridi chuckled. Once the Pit’s finished off the enemies, the barrier opened and the two continued into an elevator chamber.
“The dragons den should be just up ahead, so prepare yourselves,” Palutena warned.
“Huh, so close to me already? Well, I guess you might be, since this den is pretty small, and my forces are all trapped outside…… oops on my part.”
“There Pit! There is an elevator set up for the two of you to use.”
“Hmph, how thoughtful.” Dark Pit commented as the two went onto the rising platform.
“Yeah, I wonder why this is here…… And why it’s so big…..”
“That’s probably because this dragon is huge! I mean, have you even seen her sprite?!” Virdi commented
“Well, no……” Pit trailed off.
“She’s gigantic! If I were her size, I would want to take an elevator down once in a while!!”
“Well, that doesn't matter at the moment. Right now we need to focus on the fight ahead of us.”
“Pittoo is right. I don't want to end up being dragon stir-fry tonight.” Pit said as the platform came to a stop. The door then enclosed with the same blue barriers and a gauntlet of enemies spawned. The two angels fought them off, wave by wave until they all went down.
Pit then spotted a Drink of the Gods and grabbed it, healing himself up to full HP before entering the Chamber of the Dragon.
☬☬☬☬☬☬
“SHOW YOURSELF, YOU DRAGONIC SCUM!” Pit shouted as he came to a skidding stop inside of the chamber.
“Huh? Here already? Well, I guess those enemies did go to waste.” A female voice said and a woman walked out of the darkness.
“What? Where’s the dragon?! Why is just a woman and up here.” Pit was deeply confused.
“Oh, you poor, ignorant angel! I am the dragon! I am Bleu! Dragon of the sky! And I will bring your reign to an end! MAKE WAY FOR THE OVERLORD!”
“YOU won't take us down! And you certainly won’t be able to touch Lady Palutena!”
“Hmph, whatever… I’ll finish you off myself!” Bleu roared and then shifted into a giant blue dragon.
☬☬☬☬☬☬
“Pit, remember to be cautious of her attacks as a dragon! They will deal double the damage to you. I sense she’s still unstable in this form, so she will have to continually shift from both forms. When she's down, that’s your window of opportunity to attack, since your weapons aren’t engineered enough to penetrate her scaley dragon hide. Just hold on tight and focus on dodging. I’ve set up some jump pads for you until you have the chance to attack.” Palutena advised while Pit dodged from a wave of Dragon’s Breath.
“Will do, Lady Palutena. And….. Are you absolutely positive that she has no weak spots as a dragon? Maybe a chink in her scales?”
“I’m working on it, Pit. Don’t you worry!” Viridi replied, seemingly in a bit of distress.
“Are you good, Viridi?” Dark Pit asked as he dashed around the backside of Bleu.
“Actually, you’re onto something, Pittoo. She may be huge, but she can’t turn around that fast! If you continue to dash in a circle around her, she might get tired out and have to switch to regain herself. Smart strategy!” Palutena commented, which caused Dark Pit to roll his eyes.
“Duh, I’m the one who’s always thinking here!” Dark Pit said as he dashed behind one of her legs. Pit followed his lead
“RWAAAAAAAAAAWAR!” Bleu roared as she tried to swipe at the two angels. When she missed Pit, she growled and fell down, shifting back to her human from. That’s when the Pit’s took the chance to attack. Dark Pit took up his normal sniping position while Pit moved in for a melee attack. Bleu growled yet again.
“Oh, hush up, Blue Skies!” Dark pit shouted over the echoing of the den.
“You said my name wrong.” Bleu retorted as she got to her feet and dusted herself off.
“No, he just gave you a nickname.” Pit replied as he went in for another melee attack.
“Yeah, but he used ‘blue’ the wrong way. My name is spelled B-L-E-U, not B-L-U-E.”
“Wait, I always thought that was pronounced blou, as in the beginning of blouse.” Pit said, confused.
“Just shut up!” Bleu shouted before shifting back into her dragonic from. The Pit’s then when back to their dodge-and-weave strategy. They continued until Bleu fell a second time and shifted again.
“Come on, she can't have THAT much health left.” Dark Pit commented as he fired at her while she knelt down in the center of the circle.
“You two need to stop her NOW!” Viridi shouted as she recognized the process Bleu was using.
“What?! What is it Viridi?!” Pit asked as he went in for another melee barrage.
“She is charging up, don’t you see the glowing circle?!”
“Well, I didn't know that she was charging-. What exactly is she charging up?”
“UGH! You are so daft! Obviously she’s trying to-.” Viridi didn't finish as Dark Pit landed the final blow.
“The scales are tipped in our favor, Bleu!” Pit taunted as the female collapsed and the light of the circle dimmed significantly.
☬☬☬☬☬☬
“The Draxton Commander, born and raised. The last of her kind ever known to exist. She fights for honor, for glory, and for the deity she has chosen to follow. Be wise, young angels, your fight is far from over.” Bleu looked down at her hands before collapsing onto the circle.
“Did you make any sense out of that one, Lady Palutena?” Pit asked as he turned away from Bleu
“I did Pit, and now I fear the worst is yet to come. We need to get back and regroup, this next battle may be a difficult one.” Palutena said before extracting Pit.
