Hi, Everyone, My name is Aseel, I'm a girl from modern Egypt specifically from Luxor, Pharaohs' land.

In modern Egypt women have every right to choose their life partner by herself , but this does not apply to women who is living in Upper Egypt.

The situation is totaly different in upper Egypt. Upper Egypt is one of the most hard-line areas of customs and traditions in Egypt.

Especially in the rules which it regulates the relationship between men and women.

Even when women reach the age of marriage her father arranged marriage for her with a good man to marry him.

She may already got married to him, before she even see the shape of his face, Or be one of the few women who have the lucky to have the guts to snoop behind the doors to see his face.

" I am 18 years old, and I am now big enough to get married."

"Nowadays, My father is attempting to arrange a marriage for me with another man named Hatem, This man I don't know anything about him except his name, I even could not see his face yet, To be honest I have not exactly been looking forward to this arranged marriage, because I'm a wack Cinderella fantasy(a dream girl)that's totally devoid of reality."

" Ever since I was a child, I always watched the stories of princesses and I always dreamed about my prince Charming who would come one day to me and take me to his palace on his white horse."

" When I grew up, I started to adore and addicted watching love stories of vampires, Watching their supernatural powers and how they are well wicked (so evil)with everyone except their loved ones, Watching them how they protect their loved ones with all their power, sometimes they sacrifice themselves for that all that made me change my mind & my dream as well, Then my new dream became to got married to a vampire. "

" Some of you would say that I'm a crazy , but I assure you, Despite of that I know reality & dreams are quite different things, but I have been waiting for my vampire for so long time."

"But, until now I couldn't get a prince's love, a vampire's love yet or even a natural human's love, Now I'm going to marry a man without falling in love with him, It's an arranged marriage, not a promise from the heart therefore I'm so depressed because of this, so I decided to have a walk around."

"In Upper Egypt women is not allowed to get out by themselves, They do not go out unless absolutely necessary and in this case they must be accompanied by their father, brother or husband, Not that only but they will be have to wear bourda ( It's a black clothes looks like a sheet, Women put on their head to cover all their bodies from their heads to their toes) because here It is a shame for strangers to see any part of women's body، Even strangers are not allowed to see women's faces."

" Therefore I put my bourda on me & Sneaked out to walk around to have some fresh air, but unfortunately I got lost, So far I don't know how to go back to my home.I have been searching for two hours, I'm still unable to find my way to home and I'm still lost in this scary place .I can hear alot of sounds here, I don't know if it's sounds of animals or insects or what, I don't know anything about this place, When will I go back? I should haven't come her[ Stomach growling] I'm so hungry & so scared, What am I supposed to do now?"
