I personally don't like the use of "they", not because I can't, nor don't, respect others for their wish of being identified as "non-gendered", but "they" is used as a plural, and to use the term in any context other than a plural becomes grammatically conflicting in my head. With that said, once the English language has formally adopted a gender-neutral singlular third person pronoun, I'll definitely be for it.
