Strata made her way around the hospital texting on her phone. Her eyes missing nothing around them. There’s the orderlies pushing some cart onto and elevator another flirting with a young nurse passing a secret note to love to her. The head nurse busy with his station. The security guards doing their best to look menacing. (Somebody here is guilty and I won’t rest until I find you.) A house keep leave from the men’s room with her cart. A few doctors pass through. A couple of men leaves and returns to the lab room. She past by doctor flirting with an intern. She keeps walking then she pauses. (Wait! That’s not right?) She starts calls Dr Hearths office but he has already left. (He might be with a patient. I better check first.) Kile will be safe with Carter for now.

Carter sat by Kile’s bed trying not to doze off when one of the monitors goes crazy jumps up excited. “What?! What is it, what happened?!” He looks down to see that his young Artist had turned severely pale. “Holy shit!” He runs to the hall. “A doctor! I need a doctor in her right now!”

Jared runs here the screams in the hall, slamming is door to lock behind him. He arrives to find Kiles vital all messed up. Get me some penicillin and and a new drip. Let’s turn up the oxygen. “Come on Steel we had an agreement remember. Come on buddy, don’t falter now.” He turns toward the door. “Tell them to get there asses in here.” He grabs the drip as a was about to attach it when Strata run into the room.

“Don’t use the drip. It’s the drip.” She calls out her voice raspy from the run. It's her. She points. To the young nurse.

He turned to the other nurse. “Call Zack in here. She quickly dials the nursing station.” He turns to the guard. Take here you guys can decide what to do.

Zack shows up as the girl is taken away. He shakes his head. He didn’t even need to ask. “What do you need?” He asked ready to help.

“I need you to get me get rid of this and replace it with a proper one. Check it well. ” He warns.

“What am I an armature?” He say as left the room.

He quickly returns and administers it himself. “All is taken care of.”

“I think I am going to have to add to your busy schedule and ask you to handle this from now on.”

“No problem. Blame myself for being the best.” Somebody should help you give this guy a great shot at life. “Still I think I need to take another hard look at my staff again.”

“How did you figure it out?” His curious mind was dying to know. “Your results were way faster than I could have ever imagined.” His voice laced with admiration.

“I already said people are my thing. ” She spoke in a slight smug tone. The she switch to a more serious tone. “At first I thought it was cute to see the two passing a notes with each other. Them a little while later I pass a Doctor openly flirting with an intern. Then it hit me. ” Strata snaps her fingers. “That doctor had no problems being so bold so I doubt the hospital has a clause against dating. There was no reason to be so secretive between the nurse and the orderly. So I followed the nurse after reading the not she closes the door before coming back out with it. My hunch told me she did something to the drip.” Sat finally sit back into a chair satisfied with her sleuthing. “I was pretty brilliant, right?”

“Yeah, yeah, your a regular gumshoe. So is it this orderly that’s behind it?” Carter asks. He had no interest in humoring her or fluffing her ego. “We need that kid up acting like the spoiled brat that he is so we can return to our regular lives.”

“That depends on Kile. ” Dr. Hearth met Carter eyes. “He has to make it pass some hurdles. The harm he suffered did not help things. I suggest you contact the police and find out why somebody obviously don’t want him around anymore. ” He sat back in his chair. “I have to be honest. I am starting to wonder. If it was really his own doing that lead him here or was it staged to look that way.”

“We have a huge problem if that’s true. That means somebody is working from the shadow pulling strings.” Strata pulls out her phone. I have a friend who might be able to help.
