Hello, Campers!

So I submitted Camp 5O for the Premium program with the idea of posting revised and additional chapters. Unfortunately, I didn’t get in and Tapas let me know that they’ve actually closed submissions for now, so there isn’t any chance of getting any of my stories to premium in the foreseeable future. (They did invite me to join their writers' list for original novel options, so that is exciting). 

A writer friend suggested I submit Camp 5O to Radish, which is a novel app a lot like Tapas (actually, it’s owned by the same company) but it caters more toward steamier novels, which I’m aware Camp 5O is not, but I got in!!

I’ve dug myself into a hole though, and I’ve got some tough decisions to make.

I decided to try the Radish wait for free program (wait 1 hour to read the next chapter, or pay 3 coins to unlock it, watching one ad gets you one coin) and I actually really like the model!

I feel like it’s still a way to provide free access to my readers but also see more monetary benefits from it myself. 

Unfortunately, there is an exclusivity contract, which makes sense, but would mean I have to remove Camp 5O from Tapas.

This decision has been keeping me up for nights. 

You have all been such amazing and supportive readers that I am scared of disappointing or letting any of you down. I’m also so thankful for Tapas and everything this platform has allowed me to do.

But like I said, the story won’t be disappearing, and it’ll still have an accessible way of being free. It’ll just be on another app.

I’ve already started the process of transitioning the story. There are a lot of chapters and I’m revising and adding chapters as well, so it may take a minute. 

The first few chapters will remain in full here on Tapas and I will edit each chapter after to have a snippet. 

I will begin doing this toward the end of the month so you also still have time to keep reading here until then!

I also plan on moving over The Retreat and eventually also About That Night, though that one makes me even more anxious because we are still in the middle of the story, and I really love the Tapas community and your engagement, so I have to work out the details on that. I will keep you all updated!

This is the first draft of the story and some chapters may need more polishing than others! Feel free to leave me constructive feedback to help make the story even better! I'll be going back and updating chapters as I re-write them :)
