The story takes place during a time when humanity manages to take possession of dark matter, a type of matter that is believed to account for 85% of the universe. Although unstable, the usage of dark matter spans across the galaxy, ever-growing as the high demand for supplies remains unstoppable. Everything was going smoothly until an unidentified catastrophe caused havoc upon a colony base.
