Jared looks down at the smiling face. (That’s the most handsome smile I have ever seen. I wonder if he is having a good dream, It could be reflex or maybe he’s finally waking up?) He leans over to check his eyes. “You’re still sleeping but you are with us. I will take it for now. Keep doing your part and I will do mine.” He notices the window open . (Somebody must have left it open. I’ll lower it a little and turn up the thermostat. He could use the fresh air. ) “You must be chilly. I will help you out with that.”
Doodle Jared smiles. “How that?”
“It’s great. You’re the best.” He turns to ride long and hard down the field the travel for yard until the came.
“The air is crisp, the sun is warm the breeze is amazing. This is what I call a perfect autumn day. Don’t you agree?” Jared asks as he looks out the window.
Kile looks out at the clearing before ahead of him. “I agree. Let’s have more days like this. ”
Dr Hearth sat by himself for lunch after leaving Daina to visit. He sat down at one of the outdoor tables. He sips his coffee. Two weeks have past and aside from the added security his life has slipped back to it’s norm. He sat eating his lunch as he watches the afternoon glow fall over the Landscape garden of the outdoor guest area. A shadow falls over his features. (How long are you going to stay here,Jared?) The huge hospital he has been a part of for many years now felt too suffocating.
Since his grandfathers passing the border member and his uncles and aunts have viewed him as an obstacle for what they felt was rightfully theirs. Even the Medical Chief guards against him at times other times he is pressured by the board to keep handling difficult tasks. He sighed, as he took another sip of the hot liquid spreading warmth within his body. (Everyone gets along so well.) He watch is co worker move about going on and off break sharing conversation. (I’m the only one excluded.) He knew of all the rumors that swirl around him. It made the place often feel like a frozen palace.
His eyes fell on the tree in the center that adorned a plaque with his grandfather's name. (You said, you would introduce me to someone good before you leave my side. Did you forget? I don’t know how long I can stay on.) It was a sad truth he hated to admit.
He finished his lunch, after emptying his tray he walks back picks up his second cup and begin the second part of his day. He pass by a few visiting board members, they cordially smiles at him. He smiles back but hears there word as he turns the corner.
“I heard he is holding on here to gather a strong footing before taking over.” Say the member with the plaid tie.
The one in the blue suit nods his head in agreement. “I hear he is scarily good at his profession. Like a medical AI , know everything, seen all, can transcend limits.”
The member in the red tie laughs. “He us just some haughty young doctor, who’s a little to bright and pretty lucky.” He won’t be able to do all that he wants along as his elder are around.
Dr Hearth sighs again as he enter Kiles room for a brief check in. The handsome patience laid still as usual. The smile from earlier gone. “Hey Kile, I came to check on you.” A smile came back on his face. (Can you really hear me?)
“Oh, Dr Hearth. ” Calls a nurse. “This is nurse King, she has just joined our staff. I left the file file the head nurse for you to approve. ” Her eyes widen with excitement. “Oh! Mr Steel smile is back.”
Kile’s smile disappeared.
“It’s gone again. I think he doesn’t like me.” She pouts.
“Rebecca I’m sure that’s not true, it might be a reflex or he could be dreaming.” She did not look convinced. He pulls a charming smile. “Who can win against the allure of lovely Nurse Rebecca Cole?”
Those words draw a new smile from her. “If you say so. Well I just wanted to introduce you two.”
“How do you do. You can call me Jane.” She smiles bashfully.
“He takes her hand. Hello Jane.” Taking her hand.
His voice seemed to almost hug her name. She giggles as her heart flutters. “I still have to finish up some things in HR.” She slowly pulls her hand back as he gently releases it.
Kile heart rates starts rising causing the machine to sound.
