When Felipe got out of the bath, he found Eli waiting outside the door.
"Everyone's in the kitchen, waiting. Come on!"
He grabbed Felipe by the arm a practically dragged him into the cabin's little kitchen, if you could even really call it that. It had a dirty slop sink with rusted handles and spout, full of dirty dishes and utensils, a little fireplace with an iron pot hanging over it, a few broken cupboards hanging on the wall, and a large fold-out table with mismatched chairs crowded around.
Sitting around the table were Allison, Lillian, and Gio, as well as two people Felipe and Bella hadn't met yet, a red-haired girl and a short, brown-haired boy. Eli took his place at the head of the table (Which was significantly less impressive, Felipe thought, when it's a fold-out plastic table), then gestured for Felipe to sit on his right, between him and Isabella. Lillian glared at him from Eli's left side (What's with the seating etiquette?)
"Everyone," Eli said, in a surprisingly authoritative tone "I've gathered you here today to introduce you to our new friends."
Giovanni sighed.
"Quit it with the dinner party shit, Eli, we already met them yesterday."
"I haven't met them yet," The brown-haired boy said
"Because you were too lazy to go on the mission" Gio replied
"Was not"
"Were too"
Lillian cut in-"Stop acting like little kids and just tell them your names"
The brown-haired boy turned away from Gio to look at Isabella and Felipe. He smiled sweetly and said:
"I'm Oliver! What're your names?"
"I'm Bella," said Isabella "And that's my brother, Felipe."
Felipe nodded in acknowledgment, but Isabella elbowed him, so he muttered out a 'hello'
Oliver turned to the red-head "Introduce yourself, Scarlett"
"Do I have to?"
"Yes"
The girl sighed and glanced at the siblings "I-I'm S-Scarlett..."
Felipe laughed, and Isabella elbowed him again.
"Sorry, it's just... the hair..."
Scarlett blushed, which just made her name more fitting.
"Anyway" Eli interjected "I bet you're wondering how we found you two"
"Of course we are. I just asked you that."
Eli ignored Felipe's comment and pushed on
"Well, we specialize in finding and securing S.H.G.S escapees, like ourselves."
"So you're all escapees?" Isabella asked
"Exactly, and we help others like ourselves by taking them out of the city, then giving them a home."
"We're rebels!" Oliver said with a laugh.
"We're not rebels" Lillian hissed "The rebels work against the government."
"The S.H.G.S practically is the government" Giovanni retorted
"They don't control the military"
"They don't control it yet"
"The President wouldn't let that happen"
Gio scoffed "Everyone knows the President is just a figurehead. The S.H.G.S Elite are the ones really running the show."
"You're such a conspiracy theorist"
"It's not a theory if it's true"
"That's what a conspiracy theorist would say."
Felipe leaned over to Eli and whispered: "Is this normal?"
Eli just sighed.
"Enough politics, you two" Allison said.
Lillian and Giovanni both grumbled but stopped their debate. Eli took this chance to keep talking.
"As I was saying, we work together here to survive. We each have a specific job attuned to our mutations."
"More like a specific chore" Gio grumbled.
"And," He said, ignoring Gio's comment "We need your help."
