Angela had been running for what seemed like hours,
Weaving through different potted plants, hopping over small tables, and being careful not to slip on whatever water that made its way onto the already slippery floor.
The greenhouse had seemed to grow longer and longer with each step, getting closer yet farther away from the exit at the same time, making her seemingly lost inside the never ending garden.
“Oh it’s completely useless,” she huffed “I’ll never get out of here.”
And so she gave up and began crying, sitting on a plain wooden stool, her sorrows drowning out any other form of noise inside the greenhouse.
“Whats wrong child?”
a voice asked from the beyond the darkness, startling her.
“Who’s there? Who are you!”
Angela all but screeched.
“No need to yell at me, I am a friend, someone here to help.”
Angela sat in her little stool staring at the darkness, pondering a bit.
“Okay...if you are a friend, would you come out?”
Only silence followed, along with some scuffling and a small sigh.
“Come closer first child, tell me whats troubling you. Then I may reveal myself.”
Angela shrugged and hopped off her stool with a small smile, walking toward the voice.
What could go wrong? Maybe this stranger could help her escape.
“Well...you see. Me and my friend were playing in a field throwing rocks into a little rabbit hole when I slipped and fell in. I woke up here and well...I can’t get out.”
The strange voice hummed.
“I could help you, why don’t you come a little closer?”
And so she did.
