Volume 4 Chapter 1: Dark Side
Dark Side is one of the most powerful districts within Omega. It lies just outside the South Wall and was booming with trades, merchants, and goods.
Since the Dark Side is right next to the wall the MPD tried many times to secure this area, however due to the importance of Dark Side to the underworld, conflict would always arise.
The Blood Side Wars was the name of the past conflicts between the underworld and MPD. The MPD were out gunned by illegal weapons that would circulate in Dark Side and for every inch of land they took they would receive heavy casualties.
Seeing that Dark Side was impossible to control, they decided to retreat and fortify the surrounding outer perimeter. However, occasionally elite MPD officers would patrol Dark Side in search of any possible threats to the inner sanctum of Omega.
The elite MPD officers were former veterans of war. While others took to crime they decided to join the MPD and enforce order. The elite MPD officers wore an armband which contained the insignia of the imperial eagle with its claws crushing the skull of Mordrin, criminals and thugs who saw the armband would immediately seek cover for it usually meant bad news.
These MPD officers rather than their standard uniform and corvis helmets, would wear their own custom armor/gear. The only distinguishing apparel would be their armband. And due to their armbands being red, elite MPD officers would often be called 'red arms.'
......................................................................................................................
"He's coming! Let's get outta here boss!"
"Humpf, you think one of those 'red arms' would scare me?"
Brandishing a new biological arms, Mork'Da and his gang would patrol the streets of Dark Side and would kill and take other cyber and biological technology they could find.
[Step] [Step] [Step]
Brandishing a one handed european sword in his right hand a man slowly walked to Mork'Da
He had relatively long brown hair that would spike out, while some of it slightly covered his left eye. His eyes were blue and shin, it was almost as it they were sparkling. At the same time he would brandish a smile big smile.
He wore the standard issue black tactical pants with knee pads and boots. As for his top he wore a dress shirt with a flowery design. On top of his shirt would be a brown trench coat that would feather around as he walked. And most importantly he wore a red armband of the imperial eagle.
In insulting tone he spoke, "Haha! So you think you can take me on?"
Mork'Da knew of the danger of red arms however this one seemed different. Usually red arms would have menacing appearances, it is said that some even had pipes coming out of their backs which would burst in fire, like a jet engine. Others would collect "trophies" from their victims, some may collect weapons, while others collect more crude objects such as skulls or tooth.
Mork'Da raised his hand into a fist, then got into a battle stance. His men noticing this reluctantly got ready themselves for the upcoming battle.
Mork'Da's new arms was one of the latest bio weapons. The arm itself didn't look particularly different, however that didn't matter. You could see the outline of his blood veins in his arm, as purple blood flowed through it. Suddenly the color of his arm changed into a red hue and steam started to appear out of his arms.
"Let's see how tuff y'a really are!"
"YAHHHHHHHAAA" Mork'Da rushed and threw many punches, his arms acted like a well oiled machine and started to throw jabs left and right. The punches themselves were so fast a crackling sound could be heard with each jab.
[Woosh] [Woosh] [Woosh] [Woosh] [Woosh] [Woosh] [Woosh] [Woosh] [Woosh] [Woosh]
The MPD officer rather than doughing quickly fell back and grabbed his sword with both his hand. And immediately afterwards he lunged forward with his entire body swinging his sword.
The sword drilled it's way into Mork'Da's right arm. From hand to shoulder, everything was cut in half. Half the arm would dangle as the other half would sit on top of the sword. Luckily his bio arm automatically closes any open blood veins which stopped the bleeding.
The officer immediately pulled back and got into another sword stance.
Mork'Da didn't feel pain; however his heart beated like crazy. The sword would have cut all the way to his head if not for the bone and flesh that slowed the impact of the sword.
Mork'Da then noticed his arm. It started to morph and change on it's own. Suddenly in a grotesque manner the two halves turned into their own separate arms.
Mork'Da then smiled, he expected no less from a high tech bio weapon. When Mork'Da looked back at the officer he saw him sharpening his sword with a small special brick like object.
"Ya' gutta try harda than that if you think you can cut me twice!"
"Come'on BOIES LETS SHOW HIM WHAT DA' MORK GANG CAN DO!"
......................................................................................................................
General Bottle and Gesus made their way to Dark Side nonchalantly. In order to avoid trouble Bottle decided to go without his hat and sunglasses. And due to the lack of information on how General Bottle looked like, this has worked surprisingly well.
Of course there was video footage of Bottle, however all of the footage had General Bottle wearing his sunglasses and hat.
As for Gesus, she wore a cap as a disguise
Bottle lit a cigar and put the lighter away. [Huff~] "It sure looks busy here"
Gesus was confused and responded, "But... But.. looksu like ah ghwst town"
Indeed the streets of Dark side was empty, however that is because all of the businesses in Dark Side happen indoors. Every building was connected in one way or another, in every way you could say that it was an enclosed market.
And for this reason there would be only a handful of people outside on the streets.
"Alright, kid stay close to me."
"Okie!"
As they walked outside searching for a weapon dealer's shop, General Bottle met a familiar face.
The man was surrounded by dead bodies, in a pool of blood. Contrary to his surroundings his blade was clean. Not only that but it appeared the individual was sharpening his blade.
"Guaghh... YE BLOODIE BASTARD THIS AIN'T OUVA!"
"I'LL BE BAK'N HAV YOUR HEAD!"
A small group of surviving thugs along with their leader ran.
"Lieutenant?"
Hearing a familiar voice the man stopped sharpening his sword and faced toward the direction of the man who just spoke.
"My, My, Haha! well if it ain't my good old General! Or are you just Bottle now?"
"That's still General to you."
"Oh, please I ain't apart of your little possy anymore Bottle."
[Huff~] "I never expected you to join the MPD"
"What can I say? Fighting is what I do best. Oh and by the way I got something for you."
Smiling the former lieutenant pulled out a pair of handcuffs.
"Even though you became useless after the war, it looks like your worth a lot of money! Haha"
"Knock it off lieutenant, I ain't here to play games."
"Oh? Is that s..."
The former lieutenant noticed little girl behind Bottle and was surprised.
"Don't tell me... You came here to sell that child! Oh my! To think you stooped this low!"
"Let's get outta here kid this guy is useless"
"Okie!"
"Whoa, Whoa, Whoa! We just met! Don't you wanna talk? Hey! Wait up!"
The three of them traveled around Dark Side for half an hour.
"So Bottle what exactly are you looking for here?"
"I'm looking for a certain metal, and I heard that I can get it from ancient weapons from World War 5."
"Ancient weapons you say? Hey I have an idea!"
"Have you ever heard of the Warden's Vault?"
"Not interested, come on kid let's go this way."
"Okie!"
After a full hour they sat on the curve and took a break. Gesus and the lieutenant talked to each other as General Bottle was scrambling for ideas.
Their conversation went like this:
"So Gesus? Ever wondered why Bottle is always depressed?"
"WHOA! You know why?"
"Hehe, maybe and maybe not."
Bottle being annoyed by this decided to ask the lieutenant for his previous advice.
"Eh, hm, Lieutenant, what is the Warden's Vault?"
"Oh... Now you're interested? Hehe, fine I suppose it wouldn't hurt to tell."
"Awe, wat about my storie."
"Sorry Gesus, maybe for another time, ya?"
The Warden's Vault is said to be the private armory of the former MPD commander, Kloud Kasker. Nicknamed the Warden, he was a collector of many artifacts from the war. It is said that inside the vault you could even find weapons dating back to the First World War!
The weapons collected by the Warden is meant to serve as the MPD to fend off a catastrophic event. However, realizing that the MPD should not be trusted with so much fire power, he hid the vault somewhere in Dark Side. And ever since then it lies and wait until humanity needs it.
It is rumored that many treasure hunters who went in search for this vault never return alive. Even the MPD and underworld gangsters tried to search for the Vault during the Blood Side Wars, however as of yet no one has broken into the vault.
"However! I know of it's possible whereabouts. In fact I've narrowed it down to one location."
Bottle was impressed but also curious, "You seem very interested in the vault, why?"
The lieutenant's expression changed, his hands turned into fists. "That... That bastard Kloud Kasker took my bloody sword!"
"Can you believe that? He took it and threw it into his stupid little vault!"
"Oh ya... you used to dual wield swords."
"And I still would be if not for that damned Kasker!"
