Before any nerds chime in, I understand that Star Trek tried to make us believe in the rediculous idea that a starship can use magical dilithium crystals to regulate matter/antimatter reactions and create warp plasma and drop a ship outside of space/time into the mystical realm of subspace so that the warp engines could pull space past the starship achieving "faster than light" travel without ever actually moving. Too bad it's not real science. I guess quantum entanglement might make me rethink the idea that you die when taken apart on the subatomic level though.
