Dr Heart was startled when Kile smiled when he touched his face. Somebody outside the ones he has known for years. Happily received him. He felt his heart start race. He awkwardly backs away. “I think I should let you guys visit. I’ll be back later to check on him.”
Once back to his office he took a breath. (Relax Jared, you just have been single for too long. Even if he wakes up, he will soon zip off to the fast lane of glamorous parties. Those are not you scene, you don’t even know the real Kile. ) He takes a seat at his desk. (Take a deep breath and get your mind straight. You’re doctor, he’s the patient, an unconscious one at that.) He opens his draw to pull out an old photo himself and another man at the beach. (You dated the fast lane guy before. It was a disaster.) He leans back in his chair. A soft sigh of sadness releases from his lips.
He walks into room 301 two hours later. Kile was still as always. He didn’t introduce himself like usual but quietly made is check. As he move closer to the bed. Kile’s heart rhythm picks up. “Kile it’s me don’t be scared. I should have said. I’m sorry, don’t be afraid. ”
A smile paint a beautiful picture across his handsome face. (What a relief.) The heartbeat slowly falls back into place.
(He’s smiling again, is it really just for me.) Now it was his heart beating fast. (Why are you so alarmed. It’s a good thing. It means he may be waking up soon.) “I hope you wake very soon. I have a feeling we would be really good friends. The people around you are all good.” He took in a deep breath. “I’m leaving early today but I will check on you first thing tomorrow.” He quietly exits the room.
Kile’s sleep was not a peaceful one. He felt all the pain of his wrists slashed, the shock of the descent into the water. (Wait. I remember there were hands shoving me down.) He started panting as he relives memories of struggling to breath. (Somebody help!!!)
Flashes rushed through his mind. Red motorcycle, legs leaving the water, water turning red. Wait those eyes . I remember those eyes. (Fred?!) Kile breathing starts to go out of control as he struggles to remember. Everything rushes too fast.
Kile grips the hospital sheet in both worlds. (I remember now. Somebody was coming after me with a blade.) Slashing and slashing as he back up towards the pool. Kile gasps as the drowning scene replays.
(Who are you?) He tries to go back to the beginning. The slashes to his wrist, the blood runs. He screams for help as he falls into the water. Kile’s respiratory and cardiac monitor sounds out.
Dr. Nacht watches with a smirk from the doorway. (Look like I have a nice check on the way with no work at all. ) He silently walks away. Just as he turns the corner Zack around the other way and runs into the room followed by Rebecca.
He administers a sedation. “Call Dr. Hearth. Go! Hurry!” The nurse nods and runs off. “You are lucky Kile my friend. I was just about to go off duty.” He turns up the oxygen. “Somebody in the universe is fighting with you.”
Kile woke up in his white medical room. (You the man Zack.) He reaches to touch the blur next to him. His hand touches the hem of Zack’s Jacket.
Zack's eyes widen when he paused to look down. “Well bloody hell!”
