I turned around quickly and stepped in front of Alexandra. I noticed a young male with golden blonde hair that seemed to be spiked up. His eyes seemed to be a bright red and his skin was extremely pale. He seemed to be a little taller than I was but shorter than Edward who was about 6’5.

“You should keep moving and mind your own business.” Edward warned as he began to withdraw a sword from his belt.

“Cute, but you should know, that shop keeper already told on y’all. Should have changed before going into town. Where did y’all come from anyway? Looks like some of you are dressed in some fancy attire while the other half seems to be in a guard uniform. Did you not think that you would draw attention, even during the festival?”

Edward glanced back at us and then faced the boy again, “We are going to be on our way shortly.”

“How? You seem to not understand what kind of situation, you truly are in. You think the son and daughter of the King who killed many of our people, could just come into a festival and leave when they want? Do you not know what happened only a few years ago?”

“What do you want?” I asked as I walked closer towards him.

He smiled, “Now we are talking. I just want a small payment.”

“Name your price.” I stepped in front of Edward.

He leaned closer towards me, “I just want a small kiss from the young Princess.”

I quickly grabbed him by the collar, “You touch her, you die.”

He smirked and showed his pearly teeth, “Father, like son. You got his temper. That is my only offer though. If not, I can just turn you in now.”

“Brother, we can’t negotiate right now.” I looked at Alexandra, who seemed to be walking closer to me, “It is just a kiss.”

The boy smiled and looked at my hands. I felt my grip tighten and then loosen as I let him go.

“She seems to be the only smart one here.” He replied as he fixed his collar.

Alexandra looked over at me, “I am an adult now. You don’t have to baby me.” She stepped forward and the boy took a step closer to her. I felt my teeth start to grind on one another. She leaned towards him and he leaned down. He lifted her chin up and kissed her directly on the lips. I noticed her whole face turn blush as he pulled away.

“You are very mature for a girl your age and a very nice kisser. Please forgive me.”

I watched as Alexandra passed out in his arms as he smiled at me. I quickly grabbed Edward’s sword and lunged at him. He threw down a smoke and I held back. I was afraid of possibly hitting Alexandra.

“Alexandra!” I yelled as the smoke cleared and I noticed we were surrounded by a bunch of men in cloaks.

“It was a trap!” Ally yelled as she withdrew her sword and covered our back.

“Where is Alexandra!” Johnathan yelled as he stepped next to me.

“You are all under arrest. If you choose to fight, we will not hold back.” Edward bolted past me and grabbed the sword in my hand.

“I have sworn to protect you with my life!” I noticed a small flame ignite under one of the capes and before I could warn him, I watched as the fire was thrown at him. He lite up and let out a cry. I watched as he vanished finally. I winced with my eye as I noticed it had a small amount of blood stream down it. I wiped it quickly off before Johnathan could notice. Ally backed into my back.

“What do you advise?” I glanced around and finally sighed.

“We have no other choice, but to surrender.”
