“Your mother always did love those legends.” Her grandmother sighed. “Anyway, did you eat dinner yet?”
Epona shook her head.
“Come with me then, I’ll show you where you can put your things.”
Epona followed her grandmother upstairs to a room that smelled like flowers.
“You can use the closet and the dresser. But don’t put any posters or other stuff on the walls. This is only temporary.” Grandmother informed her.
Epona dropped her bag on the bed. She’d never stayed in one place long enough to even consider putting a poster on her wall. This was just another temporary stop. Her backpack wasn’t even big enough to fit a poster into. The difference with this stop was that her mother had left her behind. Epona rested her hand on the glass window. There was no sign of her mother’s dusty old vehicle.
