Bren lets go of Kibo walking over placing a paw on Thaddeus’s leg. He really
didn’t know what to tell him. Just seeing the painful expression Thaddeus
made while laughing hurt his soul.
“Calm down. First put this back on and hopefully you didn’t breathe enough
to make it lasting.”
Thaddeus takes the mask putting it on but still laughs, almost laughing even
more now.
“Great so now I got two crazy people instead of one.”
Bren looks at Kibo who is playing with the curtains. She was smacking at it
like a small kitten. He walks from the room making sure to leave it locked.
Now he needed to find where they sold the anti-toxins for the pheromones.
Walking from the building he thinks back to everything that has happened in
the last few months. How was Lain dealing with everything that was going
on with her right now? Would they really be able to help her or just get in
the way? He knew that no matter what that their bond wouldn’t be broken
by time or space.
Bren walks through the streets just trying to figure out what he was actually
looking for. Thaddeus had never told him where the place to buy the stuff
was located. He stops when a woman walks over leaning down petting his
head.
“Aren’t you a cute little fur-ball.”
Bren takes a deep breathe trying not to want to growl at the woman. He pulls
back only to have her grab his fur.
“Now who said you are allowed to leave yet little one. I am here to give you
a message from the elder.”
Bren slashes at the woman only to tear her dress slightly. The woman looked
to her dress with an annoyed face.
“Was that really called for? The elder wants you to know she will find your
precious wolf no matter what. She said to be prepared.”
She jumps back taking off into a run soon to vanish. Bren sat there for a
moment annoyed. He snaps back to reality when a drunken person trips into
him. They started to pet his fur just nuzzling into it.
Bren gets up looking down to the person. They seemed like someone who
lived in this place for a long time.
“Where do you buy anti-toxins in this place?”
The person smiled as standing up almost falling back down.
“Let me take you. The lady who sells them can be a little touchy.”
Bren raised a brow at the person. They lead him to the other side of the city
to a small shop. The owner tackled his guide. Bren noticed that the owners
hand had slid down their guides pants.
“Um...excuse me we are here to buy the anti-toxins.”
The shop owner pulled back smiling.
“Okay dear how much do you need?”
Bren got enough for all three of them. He thought it best just in case to take
some himself. His guide waved as the owner of the shop started to pull him
into the back of the store.
“This place is just too fucked up.”
Letting out a sigh he took off into a run. The quicker the medicine was
administered the better.
When he arrived back to the room Kibo was sitting on Thaddeus’s head. This
wasn’t even the weirdest thing that has happened so time to ignore it.
“Take the damn meds both of you.”
Thaddeus looked to Bren then started to laugh.
“Wow you are a speedy little fur ball when you want to be.”
Kibo jumped down starting to run around, she didn’t want to take the meds.
Bren had enough of this place so he pounced on her. Kibo tried biting at his
paws only to spit out some fur.
“Yucky!.”
Bren couldn’t help but laugh as he took the anti-toxins pouring it down her
throat. Soon as he finished he placed her mask on. There was no way in hell
Bren planned on letting her get re-infected. Thaddeus was very simple to
take his meds.
“Thank god I didn’t have to pin you as well. I really didn’t want my hair all
burned off.”
Thaddeus started to crack up hard imagining a bald Bren in beast form. Bren
took his meds getting a mask to put on himself.
“Yeah..yeah laugh all you want. That would be a pain in the ass to be bald
like this.”
Kibo looked around after the anti-toxins took effect. She got up walking over
to Bren hugging him.
They gathered all their things walking from the city. Bren was hesitant to tell
of the woman who grabbed his fur. After a few moments he decided it was
better to tell everyone. Thaddeus seemed to recognize the description of the
woman.
“She is one of Carson’s little errand boys. She tends to do anything told
even if it would cost her own life. The fact you are still breathing means
that my mother plans to taunt us.”
Thaddeus patted Bren and Kibo on their heads.
“Don’t worry we will find Lain before my mother.”
Kibo jumps up into his arms smiling as noticing that Bren was shifting back
to normal. Bren blushed some quickly putting on his clothing. Thaddeus
couldn’t help but to laugh some at the fact that Kibo sensed the change
before him.
Thaddeus took set their course for where Lain had been taken. He knew the
which direction they went from one of Carson’s men who mumbled before
leaving them. The thing that still had him wondering is was the raider really
only after money? Kibo gently poked Thaddeus’s back.
“What if we can’t find her?”
Her voice was shaky just saying those words. It wasn’t something he wanted
to admit as well, they had to find her.
“It is alright, no matter how long it takes we will find her. Just don’t ever
lose that faith.”
He glanced back to her with a smile. Bren looked over from his bike smiling
to her as well.
