There was a flash and Katie felt the earth vanish under her feet, it felt as if she was falling, being pulled through the light, all air vanishing from her lungs, she could feel the darkness threatening to take over.

She could feel her unconsciousness slipping during all the commotion and confusion. Suddenly her body was smashed into something that felt like a muddy ground, she was now barely holding on to her consciousness and let her body sink into the cold and soft ground. Moss??, was the last thing Katie thought before she passed out.

Katie was woken with being roughly shaken, “Wha...” mumbled Katie, thinking she was back in her bed. The first thing she noticed was the cold hard ground she was lying on and the bright moonlight.

The second thing was the tall person in front of her, it took some time for her eyes to adjust to the light, or well more like the dark since it was night, what she saw shocked her, it was an insanely beautiful young looking man.

The most strange thing about the man, was that he had blood red eyes and …….fangs?, was this a cosplayer?

Katie was extremely confused, what was a cosplayer doing in the forest near her house? That was when Katie finally looked around, and she realised that this wasn’t the forest near her house, the trees were way too high and odd looking, they didn't look like anything she had seen in Denmark or in other places of the earth before, not that she had been to many places, but she knew a bit.

Her attention was drawn back to the man, when he began speaking, he seemed to be speaking to someone else, although Katie couldn’t see anyone, not that it seemed to matter, Katie didn’t understand anything he said, but it was an interesting language, he spoke softly, but it still seemed loud, that might have been because it was a bit edgy and rough, and it made her wonder where the language was from and what it was it was called.

The next thing that happened, happened so fast that Katie barely had time to think, one second she was thrown over a shoulder like a sack of potatoes, the next they were flying through the air, it didn’t take long before she was thrown in the back of a cart.

She landed hard on her shoulder and smashed her face in the bottom of the cart, what she saw in the cart terrified her, it look like there was various creatures, some had cat or dog like ears, others had wings and the list could go on and on, they all had a humanoid shape, they were chained and had many wounds all over their body, some looked like they had been starved, others looked a bit better, but they all looked haggard.

That was when reality hit her, this wasn’t a dream or some weird joke, this was reality and were she was headed most likely wasn’t such a great place.
