Katie could feel the panic starting to rise and the tears starting to fill up her eyes. 

She scrambled over to a empty corner, she was shaking, confused and had no idea of what was going to happen to her, her mind was still trying to reject the fact, that this was real and not some sort of weird, crazy dream.

Katie could feel the tears running down her face, so she pulled her legs up and hid her face between her knees, her thoughts was all over the place trying to figure out what was happening, but she just couldn’t make sense of what had happen or how it was even possible.

“Hey, you need to calm down”

Katie nearly jumped out of her skin, she hadn’t heard anyone coming close to her, yet right beside her was an old lady, at first Katie just stared horrified at her.

“Hey, hey now, I’m not gonna hurt you, okay?” said the old lady, but Katie was still silent.

She had now noticed the wolf ears and tail the old lady had, it took some time for Katie to realise what it was the old lady said, she hurried and nodded, but she still pressed herself into the corner as much as she could.

“You don’t have to worry dear, it’s okay, no one here are going to hurt you, well maybe those guys outside, but you don’t have to think about them right now. You probably have a lot of questions and I’m will answer them as well I can, so you need to calm down.”

Katie was still confused and scared, but she still managed to ask, “where am I?” The old lady was quit for a moment, before she answered, “You are in the land of the vampires also called Vakolydor.”

When Katie still looked confused, even more than before, the old lady sighed.

“Does the dimension Soiden remind you of anything?” asked the lady.

“No” said Katie and shook her head, the name didn’t remind her of anything, maybe a book where a land was called something similar?.

“You are not from around her are you?” asked the lady, again shook Katie her head, “no I’m not, I was just looking for a light, then suddenly I was in a completely different place,” she could feel the panic rising again and she began to shake, when she was reminded of the situation, she was in.

“Hey it’s okay, you don’t need to panic, it seems you accidently were sucked in by a spontaneous portal between dimensions” said the old lady.

“You said this was the land of vampires, what exactly did you mean by that?” asked Katie, her curiosity getting the better of her, “ are you saying that vampires are real and if so are you supposed to be a werewolf?” she said with a smile on her face

“Well aren’t you full of questions now,” laughed the old lady, “but to answer your questions, yes vampires are real and so is werewolfs. I’m assuming you’re one of those humans, who doesn’t know much about the supernatural, so some things you should know is that nearly every creature from all the stories,the fairy tales are real, so don’t be too surprised, when you see people like me.”

Katie looked at the old lady, she couldn’t believe her ears, all the stories were true, fantasy creatures existed, and Katie didn’t get long to process the information she had gotten, because the cart stopped and what most likely was a vampire appeared at the back of the cart, he said something in that weird language again.

“He is telling us to get out of the cart and stand in a line” translated the old lady, Katie had completely forgotten to ask how the lady knew her language, but she didn’t get the time.

The vampire shouted again, this time a lot angrier and Katie hurried and followed the others who stood in a line, then they all got chained together in a long line, kinda like slaves.

They started walking and Katie got the time to look around a bit, they were still surrounded by those tall odd looking trees.

It seemed like they were walking towards a big clearing in the middle of the forest and in the middle of the clearing was a gigantic castle or at least that was what Katie thought it looked like.

Suddenly the old lady ,who was walking behind her, fell down, and that caused the chain to be yanked causing Katie to nearly fall herself, after finding her balance again, she tried to help the old lady up, but it seemed, as if the old lady had broken her foot and couldn’t stand on it properly.

Katie was scared, some of the vampire guards came closer and closer, suddenly one was standing right beside them and had locked the old lady free from her chains, he then proceeded to drag the lady out to the side of the road, Katie stared at them horrified, her body was paralysed with fear and she could only imagine what would happen to the old lady now.

She saw the vampire take one of the swords, he had on his back and raise it, but she didn’t see more because of a hard push in the back, followed by the push, was a low voice.

“Don’t look, just keep walking, if you don’t want to end there yourself.”

The voice sounded like it was from a boy her age, but she was so scared at the time, that she just did as it told her and tried to block out the dying screams from the old lady.

Katie was shaking, and she kept seeing the old lady being dragged away, and hearing the screams again and again in her mind, it was like a movie sat on replay.

She wished, she could have done something to help the old lady, but even more so she was happy it wasn’t her that had been dragged away and killed.

Katie was so consumed in her on thoughts that it was a miracle, she didn’t fall over.

When the line suddenly stopped, Katie was pulled out of her thoughts and looked around trying to find out where they were now, what she saw was ghastly, they seemed to be in some sort of dungeon, the floor and walls, stained with dark spots and the lighting was so dim, Katie nearly couldn't see, the stains could be blood or other unmentionable things.

The air wasn’t much better, it was heavy and it was hard to breathe, it smell rusty and rotten and of other things that were hard to describe.

They were standing in a hallway and all around them were cells, the cells were big.

The vampire guards came and unlocked everyone, then pushed them into the cells, when Katie was pushed, she lost her balance and smashed her face into the ground for the second time today, pain flared up through her nose and she could feel blood starting to run down.

She hurried over in the corner and curled up, she was completely lost now, not even the kind old lady was here to help her now. Katie could feel tears swelling up in her eyes and she curled even tighter around herself.
