Blake snuggled into his blanket while the medic bandaged his heel. Blake looked up at the man with hair colored like chestnuts and sharp blue eyes. The same eyes as Jaxon. Though there were not many other similarities. He had a suit which made him look sophisticated.
Blake had met this man before. Elliott Price was the principal of Vale academy even though he was young. The man beside him was Kai Price. The coach and gym teacher here at Vale Academy. He had made Blakes life a living hell as Blake was nowhere near athletic enough for his class.
"Mr. Oakley, can you please repeat what you just said?" Principal Price asked gently while Coach Price frowned at him. Alex was hiding behind Principal Price and Blake wondered how he had heard of this incident. He should be in bed.
Blake sighed. He understood why he needed to do this. His story sounds insane.
"It was a wolf, sir."
"Are you sure?"
"It looked like a wolf, sir."
"But we haven't had a wolf in Wales in what, a thousand years?" Coach Price grunted but avoided Blake’s scared eyes. He didn't look like he didn't believe Blake though.
"Are you sure it wasn't a dog? A husky, perhaps?" Principal Price suggested and Blake frowned. Now he started to second guess what he himself saw.
"Maybe. But it was far bigger than any dogs I have ever seen."
"I see, but fear has a tendency to twist the truth."
"And it was chased off by a cat?" Coach Price said sharply and Blake winced by the sound of his harsh voice.
"Well, it kind of looked like a cat. But to large to be a housecat."
"There has been no lynxes in Britain for 700 years." Principal Price said mildly. Blake wondered why he assumed he talked about a lynx but he didn't say anything. This was the Principal after all.
"It didn't look like a lynx. It looked like a smaller leopard. With a long, fluffy tail."
Alex came out from Elliott's back.
"Sounds like an Asian golden cat. Yep, it definitely was an Asian golden cat. Probably from China."
Principal and Coach Price glared at Alex who just shrugged.
"So I was attacked by a wolf, which doesn't exist in Wales, and was saved by a Golden cat from China. That makes me sound sane." Blake muttered.
"Can I please go back to my dorm now. I'm knackered!" Blake groaned as his leg throbbed. He was too shocked and tired to be shy. He just wanted to sleep.
"Mr. Lloyd, take Mr. Oakley to his bedroom. You both need some sleep while we will attempt to track down whatever did this."
"Got it, boss!" Alex gave Principal Price a halfheartedly salute before leaning down to help Blake up on his back. Blake put his arms around Alex's neck while Alex hooked his arms around Blake's legs. Alex started to walk away with Blake on his back.
"What, mate?", Alex asked as Blake frowned at him.
"Nothing. I just… You are stronger than you look."
"Are you saying I look scrawny?"
"Yes!"
Alex laughed at that but didn't even seem to struggle as he carried Blake on his back. It looked rather surreal.
"By the way. Why are you here?"
"You rather I'm not?"
"That's not it! I'm just surprised that you are here. I mean, why would Principal Price fetch you before he comes to me?"
Alex seemed to grow rigid at that but seem to relax after a few steps.
"I was bloody worried when you didn't come home and went to look for you. Then I saw you in that tree and I saw that you were hurt. I ran to get help. I shouted at you but I guess you didn't hear me."
"Oh, thank you!"
"No worries, mate."
They continued on and soon arrived at the dorm. Blake crashed in his bed only to fall asleep immediately as exhaustion caught up to him. This had been a very peculiar day.

Jaxon pulled his hair as he covered his face with his hands.
"This is my fault!"
"Stop messing yourself up. How the bloody hell is this your fault?" Aeron said while drinking milk and eating anything he could find.
"I did this!"
"That is ridiculous. You dreamed about chasing a white rabbit not a white lad."
"You know as well as I that the white rabbit in my dream is Blake!"
"Maybe. Doesn't change that it was a dream."
Jaxon merely groaned at that.
"It's not the first time a person with wolf spirit dreams about running in the woods and then wakes up to find out he had done it. Not on a full moon!"
"Well, yeah sure. But you needed to attack him and run back to your bed in the amount of time it took Lloyd to get to your brothers to warn them. He came after you and I talked to each other. There is just not enough time."
Aeron clearly tried to calm him down but it did not work. All Jaxon could think of is that he had hurt an innocent boy. They both can hear the entry door open as his two brothers soon entered the kitchen. Kai frowned at them before shrugging and grabbing something to eat. Elliott, on the other hand, folded his arms across his chest and gave them a stern look.
"What are you two doing up? It's a school day tomorrow."
"I cannot sleep because of the full moon and your baby brother is convinced that he was the one that attacked the lad. Please, talk some sense into him. I'm out!"
Aeron said while leaving the room after a light pat on Jaxon's back. Jaxon grimaced at Elliott's frown and explained his dreams. After he was finished his brother Kai let out a loud laugh.
"Want to jump the lad's bone, brother?"
Jaxon glared at him. He just wished that everyone would stop thinking that he wanted to shag the boy. Elliott was calmer but looked concerned.
"Mr. Oakley told us he was attacked by a black wolf."
Jaxon's heart fell. Nightmane was black. His wolf form was black!
"There is plenty of black wolves. My own wolf Ebonfang, John Harley's Sableclaw, Mark Rowe's Shadowrunner are among a few. If we count the girls at Elan Academy then a few possible assailants would be Clover Paddon's Inkpelt and Millie Acker's Savagegale. That is just a few possibilities."
Kai's word rang true but Jaxon was not reassured. Elliott scrutinized Jaxon for a moment before speaking.
"I do not think that this is on you. The wolf's scent suggested that he fled the opposite way from our house. You would have to make a hell of a U-turn to be able to shake our trackers and that wouldn't leave you much time to get back before Mr. Lloyd came to talk to us."
"True at that. I didn't recognize the smell as well," Kai grunted from behind a glass of water.
Jaxon calmed down and pulled himself together.
"Then who did it?"
"We have no idea. It was obvious a wolf spirit but… Why would one of us attack a human child?"
"True. I could understand if it was a witch, but a human? If I find the one who did this. I will skin them alive!"
"Not very helpful Kai. I can only assume it was because of the full moon but we need to find the assailant to make sure that this wasn't a deliberate attack."
Jaxon frowned as he listened to his brothers' argument. He could feel his pulse rise as his guilt had vanished as he now was convinced he didn't do it. It was replaced by rage at the thought of anyone attacking the scared little boy with innocent eyes. Jaxon was not aware that he had started to growl until his two brothers went silent to stare at him.
"Fucking hell! No need to go on a riot. The boy merely got a love bite."
Elliott glared at Kai before turning to Jaxon who flinched at his brother's words. He looked embarrassed and could not believe that he started to growl. Elliott decided to break the awkward silence.
"Maybe you could check up on Mr. Oakley. Maybe even ask him for some details. Something we could use to identify the wolf. That would help."
"Or just shag the lad. That would help as well."
Elliott growled at Kai who shrugged as they both left the room. Jaxon ignored Kai's last comment as his thought stuck on the prospect of seeing Blake again. He decided that it would be for the best to see him as he rose from the sofa and went to bed. Of course, it was only to find out more about the attacker. Nothing else.
