Alex scrambles to her feet and lifts the seat she was just sat on to reveal a case with two pistols and four revolvers, extra ammo and a couple of hunting knives, "Do you know how to use one," her voice is shaking.
"Point. Shoot. Repeat. I think that one's universal."
"Yeah pretty much, " Alice takes a pistol and the two girls go to look out the windows of the carriage.
A convoy of horses and motorbikes surrounded them as dust clouds kicked up from behind.
A dozen motorbikes come barreling down the dirt road leaving a trail of kicked up dirt and smoke. Riding them was brown jacket-wearing armed with Submachine guns and sawed-off shotguns.
Hails of bullets is exchanged between the two groups as the bandits push towards the centre carriage with the two girls. Any thoughts that came to Alice's mind were instantly drowned out by explosions and gunfire.
Alex starts to start shooting and exclaims to the driver, an old man in a straw hat, "GET THEM OFF OUR TAIL!" as the carriage speeds up more and more. They are unsuccessful in pulling away.
The old man pulls out an old repeater, like the kind you'd see in the old west, and starts to fire back. He spins the repeater between shots to load the next shot as he holds on tight to the ropes guiding the horses away from the carnage.
One bike pulls up to the left of the carriage, shotgun in hand and ready to fire, but Alex shoots first to the head making the rider flinch away and fall behind.
Alice screams over her shoulder "Did he just tank a point-blank headshot. Da hell is wrong with this world"
"Yes. He's just like most other people. Damn, my bodyguards don't seem to be enough. " Alex shouts back leaving Alice puzzled before just accepting it and just start shooting again. Alex turns to shout at the driver of the carriage, "Tell the others to focus on retreating rather than fighting!"
He responds, "But ma'am if we do th-"
Alex cuts him off, "Just do it!"
Alice fires her next few rounds and one bike goes up in smoke. Flaming wreckage catapulted itself back and takes out another biker.
Alex ducks down while she reloads and shouts over, "did you aim for the petrol tank intentionally or was it just a lucky shot."
To which Alice simply responds, "Y-Yes" and Alex simply rolls her eyes before getting back up.
Gunfire continues as the smell of burning petrol fills the air. Soon an arrow flies through the back of the carriage's back window, embedding itself in the wood. Alex notices the arrow has the letters "EtE" on the side before exclaiming "Shit get ready for someone to board."
"What!? How?" As Alice questions what's happening the arrow bursts into a dusty red cloud and a tall man with a brown leather coat appears from the cloud with a Wolf head logo on his back.
With one punch he knocks Alex to the ground and attempts to grab her. As he does Alice pulls out a knife and stabs him in the back. The blade bounces off his back. He takes a swing at Alice who then ducks down and tries to thrust the blade into his stomach as an orange light emits from her hand. The knife goes into his stomach and he stumbles back. As he stumbles back, he bursts back into a cloud of red and just like that, he's gone. Alex takes the arrow that was shot into the wall and chucks it out of the carriage.
Alex gasps for her beath, "there, he can't get back without his EtE arrow here." The carriage, still speeding away, makes an escape from the attackers.
After a moment of silence from guns, Alice grabs her arm once again as the burning pains worse, "Sorry, EtE. What's that."
"End to End stones," Alex looks at her like Alice is an idiot. Alice simply shakes her head in response.
"You know, stones that allow you to transfer your life force between two points." Alice just looks at her blankly. "And with enough power can teleport a whole person, I've never seen someone do it before." Alice still looks at her blankly. "God, you really are an idiot aren't you."
Alice responds sarcastically "Gee thanks, asshole."
They both slumped down in their seats and after but a moment of silence, they both break into hysterical laughter.
