One of the things I struggle with a lot is hero worship. I often put artists I admire on a pedestal and would do anything to get the chance to meet them... But then when I'm actually faced with the chance to do that, it's genuinely the most terrifying concept imaginable.
This semester, my thesis film advisor offered to get me into contact with an animator that I admire and I think I almost had a heart attack.
I know they're just people like you and me... But something about the idea of meeting people I look up to sets off my fight or flight instincts.

I have the same problem, sometimes even writing a message to tell them I enjoy their work and wish them good luck in further works makes me sweat like a sinner in church xD. And if they answer then I cry
