Like I said, I’m deeply attached to minerals and I have been for YEARS. Hell, it wasn’t even because someone I cared about liked them, it genuinely started because I was standing in a river staring at the water instead of splashing around with my siblings (I didn’t like how loud they were or being shoved underwater) and happened to see a pretty rock. As years went, I got more and more interested in them. The only thing I ever stole was a piece of clear quartz from another kid who shoved me off a trampoline as revenge and I was more offended that she never noticed the missing quartz than i was about her almost snapping my neck. Despite all this stuff, I never actually even thought of the possibility that minerals were a special interest until I had a full on breakdown about someone not engaging in conversation about them beyond jokes and then multiple people told me they either already knew it was a special interest of mine and thought I’d known, or they told me that they just realized. It’s nice to know why I’m so attached. Even if it took a long time, at least I know now. And I’m glad to know.
How interesting! My Dad worked at a limestone rock quarry and when we were kids, he would bring home samples of pyrite that he referred to as "Fool's Gold". He showed me how to make sparks with some of the flint found in the limestone. Very neat memories indeed!
A series of simple doodle comics in which I get a little bit vulnerable. Will I do a lot of them? Who knows. Will they appear on other sites I’m on? Who knows. Are you obligated to look at them when they appear? No. I’m just here to talk about stuff and maybe help others as I help myself.
