24 hours earlier~

Its been 3 days since her 18th birthday and Yeri is about to die of boredom. After her Doctors reassured her parents that she has now recovered, they finally agreed to let the Doctors leave.

"my princess! Mom is so happy you're better now." said Madam Zhi hugging her tenderly. "why don't you just stay here instead of living at the dorm?"

"but Mom it's too far...you're worrying too much, it was just a fever." Yeri complained, pouting her lips. There's no way she will stay with her parents, else how will she execute her plan?

"just a fever?! you can't even walk by yourself for weeks!" Klaus Zhi sneered, meddling in their conversation, he happened to overheard the two women talking as he walked towards the living room.

"Dad your here!" Yeri stood up and hug her Father, "will you stop overacting! the doctor already said im totally fine!"

"princess how about staying here for a month, once your fully recovered then you can go back to the dorm." Madam Zhi pleaded, looking at her with puppy eyes.

"I'm sorry Mom but i can't. I have to catch up on my studies and it's really stressful to go back home everyday, you know this house is too far from school." Yeri sulked in exaggeration.

"what do you mean by far?" Klaus Zhi said in a disgruntled voice. "you're not walking or driving anyway, enough of this conversation, i will arrange someone to drive you everyday."

"urghh! you're both bullying me!" Yeri huffed, stomping her feet, she then crouched on the ground acting pitiful.

"that's not gonna work either." Klaus Zhi ignored her acting and lovingly kiss his wife, "i'll be in my study room."

Madam Zhi nodded and took away his coat, following him.

"Dad!"

"go back to your room and rest." Klaus Zhi firmly stated.

Madam Zhi sighed helplessly, knowing it's partly her fault that Yeri is spoiled rotten. Yeri was just 8 years old when her biological mother, the previous Madam Zhi, died in a car accident.

3 years later, when she came into the picture and Klaus introduced her to his two children, things weren't peaceful then. Yeri was so hostile towards her and would openly show her dislike. On the other hand, Colin, remained passive and don't seem to care of her relationship with Klaus.

Zenia is a barren woman, she became depressed and no longer hope of having a family of her own, until she met Klaus and fell in love, not only she will marry the man she loves but a family she can call!

Love may have come late for her but it's all worth the wait, she dearly treasures the blessing given to her and for the past 4 years, she worked hard to gain Yeri's love and acceptance, unknowingly spoiling her.

Yeri was like a dark angel, she strongly protects the people and things she loves and will ruin anything she considered a threat.

Imagine her joy when Yeri gradually opened-up and finally accepted her.

"no right man will ever want to marry a spoiled brat." Klaus Zhi spoken, interrupting her train of thoughts.

"Klaus don't be too hard on her, princess face alone can cause a downfall of a nation! even a blind guy would agree!" Madam Zhi retorted.

"wife, you know how happy i am that you love Yeri like your own daughter but i know you also understand my point." Klaus Zhi gently spoke.

Madam Zhi disdainfully glared at her husband, crossing her arms across her chest.

Mr. Zhi laughed bitterly, he forgot that the woman in front of him is his spoiled queen!

"Mrs. Zhi how about preparing for tonights business party? i know you need more time to get ready." he lovingly gaze at her.

"hmph!" Madam Zhi walked out, not giving him a second glance.

At the same time, Yeri busied herself, looking for a dress to wear. She overhead from the servants that her parents will have a gala party to attend later, this will be a good chance for her to sneak out.

While she's tossing her clothes around, a happy fury creature went jumping on her bed and started playing with the clothes she laid out on her bed.

"ah!!! carpet! you dimwit!" Yeri hurriedly grab her clothes although some of it were already wrinkled.

Carpet lean backward and raised its paws, trying to play with her, his a 2 years old male golden retriever and Yeri's beloved pet.

When she left for college, carpet was feeling lonely and would often sleep on her room. However, during the times she was sick, her parents didn't allow carpet to always stay with her.

"ok ok, i got it!" Yeri sneakily pounced on to Carpet, "you missed me huh! i know, i missed you tooooooo!" she giggled trying to hold down the big fluffy dog.

Anyways, she still have a lot of time to prepare and didn't mind carpet crashing in.
