I’m Grounded - Fear of Heights

Phobias are impossible to ignore, and they’re illogical and uncontrollable. I never actually figured out WHY I was afraid of heights, but I know that there have been many scenarios that made the fear worse over time. From being thrown off a giant rock into a lake to having the bus swerve just a bit off the cliff to slipping and falling off a little fence and going down a hill. I’m trying hard to not let my Acrophobia win, but it’s mostly resulted in me avoiding high carnival rides, elevators and cliffs as much as I physically can and closing my eyes when I can’t. Maybe I’ll get rid of the phobia some day, or at least make it simply a discomfort. You know, heights aren’t even my worst phobia.
