YANYAN’s POV
As we arrived at the village, Celine’s eyes widened. The walls that surrounded the entire settlement gleamed black with golden stripes—metal infused with magical ore, sturdy enough to withstand any attack.
She couldn’t even recognize it as a village. Well, I couldn’t blame her—most kingdoms she’d seen were medieval-style, not fortified with reinforced magic-metal walls.
We landed near a tree and walked toward the nearest gate. Inside, houses made of glass and reinforced cement glistened under the full moon. Roads were lined with soft lights she’d never seen before.
Following the main road, I led her to my house. Celine’s fascination grew with every step—her wide eyes taking in the magical glow, the modern architecture, and… me, standing beside her.
When she spotted my house, her jaw almost dropped. Three floors, transparent glass windows, and a rooftop garden.
“Welcome to my home, Ms. Celine Tong. Please, come inside,” I said, bowing slightly with my left hand near my waist while extending my right toward the door, giving her a cheeky wink. She blushed immediately.
Before entering, I used my See-Through Vision to check on my family. My mother was cooking in the kitchen, my father training in the basement with equipment I recognized from my past life, and my twin little sisters, Yuri and Blaine, were beside the terrace’s glass swimming pool on the second floor, ready to swim. The pool’s structure was reinforced with magic-metal ore and gold accents.
“Please, sit,” I said. My mother heard me and rushed over, surprised to see a beautiful young woman accompanying her son.
“My mother… Celine,” I introduced.
“Mom, this is Celine, a friend I met on the mountain,” I continued.
“Thank you for having me,” Celine said gracefully, bowing slightly. Her poise impressed my mother, who simply smiled and returned to the kitchen.
I handed Celine a drink. She hesitated, eyes wide with curiosity. After tasting it, her expression changed to pure amazement.
What is this drink!? she thought.
“This is… incredible!” she exclaimed. “I’ve never tasted anything like it—even in the main central palace. What is it?”
“This drink is called ‘Cauk,’” I explained. “It’s originally made here. You won’t find it anywhere else—I haven’t allowed it to be sold yet.”
“You… you made this?” she asked, astonished.
“Well, I came up with the idea and oversaw the process. Also… I’m the son of the village chief. Sorry for the late introduction,” I said casually.
I went on to explain how our family had migrated from the Yan Clan and settled here near the Death Forest, transforming a tiny village into this fortified, modern-looking settlement.
“So you mean… this was just an ordinary village before, but now it’s… this?” she asked, eyes wide, noticing decorations and magical reinforcements everywhere.
I laughed. “Exactly. Most people wouldn’t believe it without seeing it themselves.”
Celine stamped her foot in frustration, but I just laughed harder. I can’t blame her—she’s seeing technology, magic, and ores all combined without formal knowledge of science.
Suddenly, my father’s voice called from the basement door. “Yan! Be careful teasing such a beautiful lady! Sometimes words alone can hurt her.”
I walked to Celine’s side and whispered a small spell. A golden ring with a dragon seal appeared in my hand. Her eyes widened.
“This may be small, but I hope it makes you happy,” I said, gently slipping it onto her finger. She blushed but didn’t resist.
Though we’d only met hours ago, I admitted softly, “From the moment I saw you, I was captivated. I couldn’t help myself.” I kissed her forehead and stood upright, winking at her. She turned even redder, fingering the ring silently but smiling.
Looking around, I noticed my mother holding a camera, my father wiping tears, and my twin sisters staring in awe while winking at me.
My family… what can I do? I thought.
“Celine, come meet the rest of my family,” I said, taking her hand.
She nodded gently, smiling. God, that smile… it made me want to go to heaven with her. Wahhh!
