That Night

“Okay, Zachary, Tyler, and Samael, How did everything go today? Zachary, you start.” I say sitting on the head chair in the room.

“Well, Maria, everything went well, he did the bungee and read the letter, my job was not too difficult.” Zachary says, he is quite cute, probably third in line. He hasn’t changed since coming back so he is still wearing that maroon button up I made him wear.

“Good, and how about you Tyler? You seem a little beat up.” I say glaring. He is probably the least cute in this, he is still good looking but not as much as the rest of us.

“Well what you had told me was that he was strong but stupid.” He says as he holds an ice pack up to his eye.

“Yes, that is what I said.” I say annoyed because I think he doubts me.

“Well we underestimated him. He was very smart and diligent, he read the letter at his location but I believe we need to rethink the strategy for him.” I am surprised, we had done a nearly perfect analysis. We had matched up everyone according to skill set. Zachary got Noah because he is the coding genius. Samael got Leon because of their seductive capabilities. I got Axel because of our skills. And Tyler got Ryan because of their strength and idiocy. I guess we were wrong about them, and by the look of Samael I think we were also wrong about Leon.

“Well, we will look into that. How about you Samael, it seems yours went perfectly according to plan.” I say sarcastically eyeing the gunshots in his ankle and kneecap.

“Yeah well, first he seemed to be able to block out my flirtations, and when I had thought he had finally fallen for me, he had just been kissing me to grab my gun. And when I had tried to pull the gun from his hand he knew exactly what I was doing and grabbed my wrists. Even when I tried to rip him he seized my leg and flipped me so I fell. He was brilliant. He knew exactly what I was doing every time.” I am surprised, he is definitely street smart but I had not thought that it had gone this far. Just like Noah is computer smart Leon was strategically smart. Axel was a mix of both and Ryan was just stupid, or so I had thought.

“Well, did he open the letter where he was supposed to?” I ask.

“Yes, he did.”

“Well, good, and Axel seemed to believe every word I was saying, HA, I didn’t think he was so gullible.” I say, although I don’t think he is, He has some tricks up his sleeve. “Oh, and Zachary, how did all of the tech work?” I ask.

“Well let me check,  Leon and Noah's dorm,” A second passes, “Yup, it works. Axel's Dorm “Yup, Ryan's Apartment” “Yup, Noah's Bungee Suit” “Yup, Axel's Gun” I am actually very proud of that one, The night before us going to the mansion I had put a bug in one of the guard’s guns. “Yup, Ryan's Bug in the Car” “Yup, and I can hear Tyler getting beat up, haha” Tyler glares at Zachary which only makes him laugh harder. “Well now finally, Samael's Wire” A confused expression passes over him, “Didn’t you say that Leon was single?”

“Yeah, he is.” Then Samael seems to remember something.

“Yeah, he said he was seeing someone and at first I thought he was just lying to let me down easy but now I’m not too sure, just listen to him.” Samael says.

“Yeah, Zachary can you play that?” I ask and he does, I can hear Samael’s voice come through after a few seconds.

Samael; “Well I was just wondering if you were single.” Leon; “Why?” Samael; “Because I thought you were cute.” Leon; “Ah sorry, but I am seeing someone.” Samael; “Oh, sad, well, it makes sense, you are quite beautiful. What is their name?” Leon; “Why?”

“He never actually ends up saying the name, now can you skip over to the part before he kisses me?” Samael asks Zachary, and Zachary looks over to me asking permission so I nod.

Samael; “Yeah, well now on to you, you still taken?” Leon; “Hah, yup.” Samael; “Can I get his name now?” Leon; “Nope.” Samael; “Well can I get anything?” Leon; “Yup”

“At this point he had pulled me down so our faces were nearly touching.” Samael interrupts.

Samael; “Hah, this is way better than a name.” *Rustle* *Click*

“Someone turned it off” Zachary says, pointing out the obvious.

“Fuck, When he was feeling me up he was looking for a wire, he hadn’t known the gun was there, FUCK” If Samael could stand up he would have.

“We need to go over the strategies for Ryan and Leon, we have really underestimated them.” I say sitting down again and grabbing some paper.
