“I-I’m sorry.” The younger looking male exclaimed, causing Louis to feel a bit guilty. “Yea, it’s fine.” Before the man left, Louis blushed slightly. His heart skipped a beat as he continued to check him out. He was short, with soft facial features. Light freckles, somewhat of a thin build, short dirty blonde hair, and brown almond shaped eyes. Just his type.
“What’s your-“ before Louis could finish asking his question, he got cut off by the male. “I-I’m sorry.” He apologized once more. “I have to go. But if I run into you again, I’ll make it up to you.”
“W-Walt I didn’t get your name!” Louis exclaimed, but by then it was already too late. The younger male had already walked off into the distance and was nowhere to be seen.
“Shit..” Louis furrowed his brows as he noticed a tall figure standing by the clinic door, smoking an e-cigarette. The man has scraggy long brown hair, green eyes, and with a pair of glasses on. They both made eye contact, standing there awkwardly while Louis attempted to walk around the guy, to enter the room.
“His name is Hinata.” The other man spoke, making Louis stop in his tracks. “He is a volunteer here, so you’ll be able to see him every day, just not on weekends. So I’m sure you’ll get the chance to see him again.”
Why should Louis care about this information..? “And you are..?” Louis asked, making his way into the clinic.
“I’m Hinata's best friend and the nurse that works here for the clinic.”
“Okay?” Louis wasn’t too sure how to respond. “Why are you telling me this..? I don’t know him or you.”
“Oh I thought you’d be interested. It looked like you immediately fell in love with him the moment you saw him. You should’ve seen the look on your face, That’s why I was saying it.” The unknown man spoke, putting away the E-cig in a pocket that’s in his white lab coat.
“H-hey!” Louis flushed up in an instant. It was like having a middle school crush all over again. He regained his composure after he averaged his face somewhere else, looking at the cabinets full of medical supplies next to him.
“Anyways, let's cut to the chase. I want to go home and sleep, it’s late. so why are you here?” Wow so much for first impressions.
“I fell and I hurt myself by accident. If Mrs.Val had not noticed, you would’ve been well off on your way home and I would’ve been well off on my way going to sleep and letting this heal on its own.” Louis said in a sarcastic tone. An asshole Vs. another asshole.
“How’d you get it?”
“I fell.” Louis said.
“Yea right. Anyways, come here and let’s get this shit treated. I’m tired of being here.”
“Then quit your job if you’re so tired. No one is forcing you to stay.” Louis mumbled under his breath when he felt a strong jolt of pain surge up his arm. He looked at his hand and realized that the man was pressing down on purpose. “Say that again, but louder. I dare you.” The man stated. How medically unprofessional.

After getting his wound treated, he left as soon as possible. He was directed to the room he was assigned too. It was isolated in a hall that was on the opposite side of the building. As he walked by the rooms, he looked into the small vertical glass window. He noticed that most of the rooms were unoccupied, which meant he will most likely have a room to himself. ‘Yes!’ He happily said internally.
He opened the door, and immediately regretted his words. The room was much smaller than what he was normally used too. On the left hand corner, lay a bed and at the foot of the bed was a small desk with a glued on pencil holder. He wondered if people tried stealing an item such as that one... it would make sense as to why it is glued down. To the right of the room, lay a small bathroom with only a toilet, a small mirror, and sink. While going over the procedures, Mrs.Val mentioned that the showers are shared. So that’s another thing to take into account for.
Louis sighed, knowing that this is going to take some time to get used to. He plopped down onto the springy bed, realizing how stiff and uncomfortable it is. Before attempting to get comfortable though, he took off his clothes, remaining in only his grey boxers. He undid the bag and folded everything nicely in the cabinet drawers that were provided in the small room.
He laid back down, trying to comfortably position himself with a rough textured brown blanket, and one flat pillow. Louis’ feet draped off of the edge of the bed, for he was too tall. So he had to sleep in a fetal position for the entire night.
His thoughts kept roaming and he couldn’t properly fall asleep until much later on in the night. He thought of many things, one being that he should get a notebook to write. Just because.
Another being about his dog, and how much he misses him.
Louis has never truly felt more alone in his life than now.
He closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep.
