Two weeks had passed since Isabella and Felipe had escaped from the S.H.G.S headquarters and joined up with Eli and his friends, and Felipe was starting to get antsy. He was tired of lounging around in this idyllic little cabin-in-the-woods, doing menial tasks and avoiding everyone but Eli, who would not leave Felipe alone for one second, which is stressful when you're trying to hide the fact that you broke into the one place where you're not allowed to go.
Isabella, on the other hand, was having a wonderful time.
She had made fast friends with everyone, opting to spend most of her time in the garden or training with Gio and Lillian in the front garden. She found life here peaceful and was glad to finally be able to do whatever she wanted with her time.
She tried to make time for her brother, she really did, but he was never one for conversation. Isabella suspected that he was having a hard time adjusting to their new home, and had decided that today, the two of them would go out exploring together. She found her brother in the kitchen, next to Eli, who was doing all the talking. When Felipe looked at Isabella, she could see two words written in his eyes:
Help me
Isabella had to act quickly before her brother died of boredom.
"Felipe." Bella said, feigning urgency, "We need you outside. Right now."
Felipe leaped out of his seat, relief flooding his system. His sister had come to save him!
Eli moved to follow them, but Isabella had planned for this outcome.
"Allison is waiting for you out back, Eli!"
Bella quickly dragged Felipe out the front door before Eli came back.
"What's the plan?" Felipe asked as they stepped onto the lawn.
"Forest," Isabella replied plainly. She lead her brother to the edge of the clearing and peered into the deep gloom of the forest. A chill of excitement ran down her spine. What was waiting for them out there?
"Nothing good is waiting for us out there," Felipe said, as though reading her mind.
"Are you sure this is a good idea, Bella?"
"It's fine, Felipe," she said will a roll of her eyes "what could happen?"
