Scarlette is so annoying right now! You're in a forest where everything wants to kill you, be quiet. You're expecting help to find your mom, but constantly doing the same impulsive things that got you in trouble will only cause more problems! If she can't mature REALLY quickly, they're going to have more problems. But I understand her fear, he's a stranger and she's confused, lost, worried and terrified.
