Smoking shops were once extreamly popular with the upper working class in towns and cities and were a place where men and women could gather together and smoke. The allure of these shops were in the many different imports of cigarettes from around the world, providing different scents and tastes for people who wouldn't otherwise ever set foot out of their own county. Cigarette's however, have always had an air of myth and mystery around them within our culture. Many witches create what are known as Hazes for those involved with the Fae, granting them special powers to aide them in their work. These witches soon tried to sell their wares to the masses which lead to hundereds of tragic incidents across the land which impacted the culture around smoking here and are now more often snubbed for the now more popular (and perhaps safer) coffee shops.
(This is super late I'm so sorry!! I enrolled on a course to learn Graphic Design over the past three months and had 0 chance to draw the comic. The next chapter is all boarded out and is ready to go! See you soon!!)
'The Only Thing That Is Constant Is Change' - Heraclitus
The Libraries have served their purposes for the people involved in researching and combating the Fae in this world. Now, they lie unused as those concerned have had the knowledge contained in these books passed from one generation to the next and everyone has lived in blissful security for centuries.
Now the Fae have started to change. Small but terrible incidents have started to take place and the systems that have been set in stone for so long have started to crumble in the face of something new and frightening.
Having recently inherited one of these Libraries, Salem Gascoigne intends to undertake new and brave research, documenting these odd Fae instances in hopes of understanding what is really happening to the strange creatures in this world and why they seem to be targeting humans.
With the help of an assistant (who my be less than human) the two set out on this research mission and get themselves tangled up in something bigger than they bargained for.
