There's actually a very human excuse he can use to explain this to teachers: Panic Attacks. I ran out of more than a few rooms when I was that age because anxiety loves spiking you into a full stress response over the most mundane things. I've also snapped at teachers who didn't realize I *needed* to take a few minutes (or more). Hunter boy can just say he ran across him on the way to the boys room & stayed to help him calm down.
