There was a tall humanoid structure in front of me. It was about 9 feet tall, it was covered in yellow fur and it had a tail. The rest of its body was normal except for its head, it had the face of a hawk. Its ears were also covered in scales, they looked unbreakable. It had no hair on top of its head, instead, there was a weapon. A blade of some sort, stuck in its head. It got on its knees and put its arm out in a friendly posture. “I am the Thunder Aegis TurkPeike, you are now my Controller. You are worthy, you have the eyes of a learner and a heart of gold. You already have a passion for battle, and want to know more. I know we are a good match” TurkPeike spoke in a masculine voice, I had expected him to kill me, not make me his “Controller”. I believed him though, I've never seen anyone like TurkPeike before, I believed he was some type of deity. “What is a controller?” I said slowly and in a weak voice. TurkPeike suddenly looked more worried, he put his hand on my head. Suddenly I felt normal again, he had completely healed me, even my cheek. “I give you weapons, and when you hold those weapons you gain part of my power, only you can use this power.” I was in shock, about to ask more questions about the power. But then I remembered mom was in danger. “Okay, TurkPeike let's go save my mom!” I said as I ran off, TurkPeike following behind. I've used some electricity to speed up the run, it took about thirty seconds to reach the warzone. Everything that should have been green was now black, scorched ground and decayed plants populated the area. In this mess, I saw mom Laying on the ground. Her clothes were ripped and her skin was covered with the villain's corruption ability. “Loprez” She said in a raspy voice as she slowly reached out for me. “Mom!” I jumped in to grab her hand, feeling depressed seeing her in this condition. As I grabbed her hand I noticed the villain had snuck up behind me and began an attack. His sword was about to pierce my skin but TurkPeike interrupted the attack. He suddenly appeared between us and snapped the sword, then proceeded to jab the villain so hard he went flying across the forest. This all happened in one second. “Loprez, I was worried you had moved on.” She said as I lifted her up, her expression changed when she saw TurkPeike. “Who is this?!” She said as she almost fell back down. I was about, to tell the truth, but suddenly I felt something. In my head, I heard a faint voice. “I’m using telepathy to speak with you, tell your mom that I'm your friend Peter.” TurkPeike spoke, it had caught me off guard so I spoke quickly. “Mom this is one of my friends, his name is Peter. He's really strong!” TurkPeike shook mom's hand, the movement suggested that TurkPeike's hand is made of the same skin as humans. “By the way, to other humans, I look like one of them. My body also reacts like a human, so my cover won't be blown” TurkPeike winked in the current world to show that it was actually him talking to me. All of this new information kept making me forget mom’s condition. “Peter, can you heal mom?” I said as I began to sweat. TurkPeike lifted me off my feet and put us on his back, his spikes felt like a leather jacket, and I could feel a human spine. “Also I can't use my powers on anyone who is not my controller. I can use them on myself, so I’m going to take your mom to the hospital. Conveniently there is a hospital at Thunder Creek Academy.” TurkPeike sounded serious now, his voice vibrated in my brain making me dizzy. “Ms.Alexander everything is going to be okay.” TurkPeike said in a reassuring voice. He began to run at about 50 miles per hour. Surprisingly we did not fly off his back As I expected us too. TurkPeike jumped over creeks, poison ivy, animals, and he did it as if he lives in a spike pit. His jumps were perfect and where unreachable. I even had a hard time keeping up myself. “Peter, what happened to the villain?” It was weird speaking in the real world again, it felt completely different. TurkPeike danced around an open flame and it vanished. “He's gone, might come back later but definitely not right now.” The forest suddenly turned into a field of 5-foot tall grass. Now that we were in a more open space TurkPeike began to run faster, the wind was so bad that I had to close my eyes. “We’re almost there, this one of Thunder Creek’s survival zones. When they test their students they plant mines everywhere, the goal is being aware of your surroundings.” Mom looked down at me, her skin looked even worse than earlier. “We are going to a hospital?” She sounded so unsure it made me shake. Suddenly TurkPeike began to slow down, I heard people talking in the distance. “Yes Ms.Alexander, we are here.” Thunder Creek Academy, the school I would stay at for three years. I was in awe when I realized how big it was, buildings that belonged to the school seemed to stretch for miles. There were people walking to classes and their dorms, at least forty people where insight. “We came through one of the side entrances, Luckily Thunder Creek’s hospital is right there.” TurkPeike pointed at a tall building to our right. There was a yellow and black cross on top of the building, it had to be at least four stories tall. Inside the building they took mom to a surgical room, they claimed that they had never seen someone in as bad of a condition as her. With her gone, it was just me and TurkPeike, We stood in front of the main office. TurkPeike began to use telepathy, his voice rang inside my head. “By the way, I won’t be able to use my full power or support you with more than a fraction of it. Because if I did my Siblings would wake up, and we don't want that to happen. Also, I will have to leave your side now, stay in school and learn about Aura. Be safe Loprez, I will stay with your mom for the time being.” TurkPeike had siblings, probably other Aegises. I wondered if they were as strong as TurkPeike or even more powerful. And TurkPeike also said he was holding back, that part scared me. The villain that both me and mom struggled versus he took out in one strike. His full power must have been deadly dangerous. And most Importantly he wanted me to learn about “Aura” Which I’ve never heard of in my life, he gave me another incentive to stay in school. “Okay Petter, thanks for the ride!” I say as I dash into the main office.
