“Sekia!!!” I heard Shinya’s voice behind me coming closer. She was obviously running to catch up with me. Her lover, El, followed close behind. Just before reaching me, Shinya tripped, in true anime fashion.

“Heh, maybe don’t run so fast.” I chuckled.

“W-well you left without me and El!” Sekia came back with a comeback. El, Shinya, and I all lived in the same area, so we could easily walk together.

“Not my fault you woke up late and kept me waiting.” El said to Shinya.

“W-well…” Shinya attempted to make up a comeback.

“Checkmate.” El winked at their girlfriend.

“Hey you guys, I dunno if you know this, but there is a thing called school that we have to get to on time.”

“Aww shit, I forgot.” El replied. We walked to school together, discussing anime and video games.

Approaching the building, I fell in love with the design of the place. I kept walking without paying attention to my surroundings.

“Sekia, look out!” Shinya shouted.
