You won't believe this, but, I'm currently at one such job (I'm typing this in a Tuesday morning program meeting) and I've decided to leave. It has been the hardest decision I've had to make thus far (I'm 24). The worst part is the people around me - even those who love me (family, friends, etc) - Most of them ask "why would you leave? You get paid soooooo muuuccchhh!!!" and in that moment, I feel my heart ache. An ache that I cannot explain. "They don't get it" is a statement that keeps me ploughing through the many such conversations I am faced with, especially now that my contract is winding down to an end. [My shackles will be loosed end of September so yeyyyy]
I guess what I'm trying to say is, Thank you. Truly. You get it.
