(29th (2 Days Before Reveal))

Miguel woke up still being cuddled by Eric, he withdrew and sat upon Eric’s bed. With a yawn, he slowly stretched out and itched his abs. ‘Crap I have to go home and to get clothes, hopefully, Tom is back in charge by now…’ Miguel thought.

He sent a text to Eric saying:

‘Good morning sleepy-head,

‘I have to go get some clothes and make sure my dad’s body is okay. I will see you at school, have a wonderful morning! And don’t worry, I will be fine, Alex will be asleep if he is in charge.

‘Thank you so, so, so, so, so, so much for letting me stay the night! You are a lifesaver, and I am so proud to call you my friend!

‘Okay see you soon!’

On his way out, Miguel said goodbye to Eric’s parents, and got in his car, turning up the radio to a polite volume, so that it wouldn’t disturb people pulled up next to him.

Eric woke up with a start, his personal space heater, named Miguel, seemed to have left. With a sigh Eric checked his phone, 6:58 he had two minutes before he needed to be up. He saw he had a notification from Miguel.

After reading it Eric felt his body both relax and tighten. Miguel was no longer on the premises, but he thought he was safe so Eric should believe that. ‘Gosh, my emotions are on the fritz. Must be the lack of sleep,’ Eric thought with another sigh.

He quickly replied to Miguel saying

‘Stay safe, and if you need anything, you know where to find me, and it was no trouble so no need to thank me!

‘Also kid, why you text so formally?’

Miguel got home, relieved to see that neither his father nor Alex was awake. He quickly got dressed in a new set of clothes, grabbed his backpack, and headed out.

On his way out he checked the mailbox out of habit. To his surprise, he did see a green envelope.

He quickly ripped it open, reading the words written by the hand he wanted to hold;

‘Hey there Magnolia,

‘I realized I didn’t discuss how I would tell you who I am. I will wait on the roof of the library for you during lunch on the 31st.’

(1 day now)

‘Gosh, I really hope this letter gets to you on time!

‘Anyway this is a very short letter, and a waste of a stamp, but I need to go do my homework.

‘All my best!

‘Elm’

Miguel smiled, his week that started shitty seemed to be getting a bit better! He only had about 24 hours left to wait! ‘Although, I guess I pretty much already know who it is, I mean Evan and I get along, he knows exactly how many days until the end of the month, and he meets the physical requirements…

‘Whatever, school time!’ The nerdy boys thought and continued on his way to school.
