I'm really sorry they reacted that way, you shouldn't have had to deal with that. their bad response is a reflection of them, not you- I hope you know that you deserve to be accepted fully, and you deserve respect and love. I hope they come around (they may just need some time?) but if not remember that you will someday soon find people who accept you completely if you haven't already.
