YOUNG MAN FOUND:* This was a newspaper clipping attached*
Black. He couldn't tell the difference between eyes shut or closed. The space closing in on him, breath by breath he couldn't move. He pressed his feet against the base. His knees unable to extend completely. His fingers traveled against the silk inside walls. He felt stuck, unable to move, and as he fought the tighter the space felt.
UNKNOWN AMOUNT OF DAYS LATER
He inhaled hoping his chest and stomach could collapse upon itself. His body did not move. His fingers wriggling against his thighs. Writhing, searching for the chance of his cellphone. He could feel the possibility of a thin square in a taunt pocket. He pushed a little harder, the space between his thigh and the silk coverings clawing at his skin. He shuffled trying to make room for his thick hand. He began to imagine his fingers getting smaller. He couldn't understand his body was growing instead of shrinking melding to this box prison.
LATER
Was he laying or standing? The weight of his own body seeming to choke him. Again he tried clawing his thick fingers through the form fitting box. He wondered what would happen if he filled the box out, could his own body fill every single inch of the place. His knees twinged, bent and holding him up. He imagined the sun if the box broke and the food he would consume. He couldn't remember the last meal he ate. Was it fast food or was it home cooked? The thought of mastication caused him to salivate. His mouth filled with saliva, drool dribbling down his chin, dripping onto what he thought could be his shirt. The droplets, didn't absorb but continued running down him. It trickled down his body, over and under each roll.
His own reality began to shake and in the darkness he felt nothing except his stomach expanding. In a few more seconds he could feel his own body began to expand. His arms thickened pressing harder against the edges. The longer he lie there, the more he felt the container begin to constrict around him.
There were times he would call out for help. There were times he would scream and shriek, but now his chest could barely expand against the silk walls. He tried again reaching for his phone but neither arm budged against the mass that was now his. He imagined what he would look like a box shaped human. Was he even human?
That last thought entered his head unwillingly. He had made peace within the darkness. He had forgotten his memories and resigned himself to a life of emptiness. He was just empty now, his body betraying him. In an a fading effort he began to shake. He started with his head rocking back and forth, then his shoulders and the rest of his body followed. For a second he felt weightless and then gravity brought him down. As he landed his darkness seemed to open a little more, to a small crack of light.
