Adriel Llyr
When Adriel got home, he lay down on his porch to enjoy the feeling of the sun against his skin and fell asleep. When the sun went away, he went inside and did some school work he picked up so he would at least keep his grades to a 'C' to be able to play soccer (and swim). After he did the bare minimum, he went to sleep in his bed.
This time, he dreamt about silver eyes and white hair. It felt... Like it was a connection with good feelings. He's getting close, a voice said. Then he fell into a dreamless sleep.
He made physical contact twice with Calyx the next day to forcefully break the thin ice between them. It was fun watching his reaction as he invaded his personal space by shoving himself against him to knock him over and then draping his legs across his lap in another class.
Calyx got mad about the rumors that he was gay and thought he was gonna be able to ignore Adriel. Hell naw. Adriel slumped all over him until he promised not to ignore him anymore. He also threatened to sit in his lap. He meant it. By the end of the day, they were friends for good.
Everything was chill until he tuned into a conversation and heard about another guy freaking out and mumbling about 'water.' Sounded like it had to do with something that had happened to Adriel recently. He felt weighed down the whole swim practice, his thoughts going a million miles per second. He processed that the guy who left the team was going to another school and couldn't help but to wonder if it had some connection to his possible experience with water. Something very strange happened at the end of practice that made the possibility of a connection even stronger. For some reason, the swim team member that had said that the 'water' guy had gone to a special school suddenly forgot about the school altogether.
Adriel and Calyx walked out together, deep in thought. Adriel was so deep in thought that he didn't realize Calyx was no longer beside him until he lifted his head. He looked around for a minute and came to the conclusion that he had gone ahead. How very wrong he was... Very very wrong.
