Sora stretched and yawned, before he glanced at the watch by the bed. 6:35! He left the bed in hurry and got dressed in the black school uniform that he had gotten sent to him from the school. He went into the bathroom and put on some eyeliner and just brushed his hair really quickly, as he didn’t have time for much more. He had to check out from the hotel, and get to the school early as he was supposed stay at the school’s dorm this semester.
New York felt big. It was strange in comparison to London. The big skyscrapers stretched up to the blue sky above, and he felt small in the backset of the yellow cab among hundreds of others. Like he was just one in the crowd. Was that how he would feel if he ever went back to Japan? Would he fit in at school or stand out as he had in London?
He picked up his mp3-player from his school bag, and turned on Zakurogata no Yuuutsu by the GazettE. His eyes followed the buildings passing by outside the car’s window, while he relaxed to the sound of Ruki’s voice. At last the cab stopped at a wall, and Sora could see the brick building that was his new school. Roselyn High School was waiting!
With his suitcase in hand, Sora entered the school and his eyes found the reception desk in dark brown wood. He carefully fixed the shoulder strap on his bag and dragged his suitcase with him over the dark floor. Sora stopped at the desk and looked at the blond woman sitting behind it. She was talking on the phone with a soft voice, eyeing him with her blue eyes. He just waited calmly for her to be done, and when she hung up she turned her attention to him.
“Welcome to Roselyn! How can I help you, Mr…?” she asked.
“Himura. Sora Himura. I’m new here, and I would like some help to find my dorm”, he said.
“Of course, one moment.”
She turned to the computer on the desk and seemed to be looking for the information, probably in some sort of register over all the students staying in the dorm. He couldn’t help but wonder if he had to share room with somebody.
“You’ll share room with a student named Aoi Koizumi. I hope you will fit as roommates, but if there’s any problems just talk to me. My name is Jenny Simons, and I’m here to help if you need anything or feel lost”, she said with a smile.
Jenny started to flip through some papers on her desk, and Sora started thinking about who his new roommate might be. The name sounded Japanese, so he couldn’t help but hope that it was some tall handsome guy with dark hair and brown eyes. Somebody good-looking and nice. The sound of steps behind him pulled him from his fantasies, and soon could he see someone else standing next to him. Sora’s eyes turned to the guy, and his glance stopped at the huge teased blueish black hair for a second before he met the other one’s steel grey eyes.
