Bex walked into her home and dragged herself up the stairs where she kicked her shoes off, changed into some sweats and burrowed under the blankets. She put her phone on the nightstand and closed her eyes to rest.
A witch, a very pretty witch. The hurt in her eyes, the conviction in her voice as she cursed her. Words that Bex couldn't understand in some old witchy language that no longer existed. Bex felt like she was being ripped in two. She screamed, no it wasn't her screaming, it was Lyssa.
A dream, Bex realized.
It was only another one of Lyssa's memories.
Bex shot forward in bed when she felt like she had lost a chunk of her body. It was only noon and Bex sighed and laid back down.
'have you figured out how to stop me from seeing your memories yet? This is getting annoying.' Bex said through their bond.
'Are you seriously going to ask me about that right now?'
'Yeah, it's sort of important.'
'You are unbelievable Rebecca.'
'Can you take it down, like a lot, I don't feel so good.'
'Oh you don't feel good, how do you think I feel!?'
Bex winced and closed her eyes.
'Sorry, I'll leave you alone.' Bex relented.
'So that's it then, we aren't even going to talk about this?'
'I was talking, you are yelling, which isn't helping.'
'you can't just do what you did and expect me to be okay with it.'
'I don't need your permission for anything.'
'How dare you! After everything I've put myself through for you; you don't get to do this to me.'
'News flash, you don't get to tell me what to do!'
'Fine! You want to have that disgusting Slayer, have her. But don't expect me to save you anymore.'
'At least she's not a murderer! You know what, Joan was right. I am tired of this bond, I want to break it. Being connected to you is torcher and will only get me killed.'
There was a long moment of silence between them. Bex instantly regretted her words. She didn't mean them, she was just hurting both physically and mentally.
'Lyssa I'm sorry.' Bex said.
There was a gust of wind in her room and Bex sat up. Lyssa was standing in front of her, red eyes glaring at her.
"No, but you will be." Lyssa sneered.
Bex eyed her in confusion before Lyssa zoomed over to her and grabbed her by the throat. Lyssa lifted her into the air and threw her across the room. Bex slammed into the wall, knocking everything off her nightstand in the process.
"What are you doing?" Bex said in alarm.
"What I should have done from the beginning." Lyssa grabbed her by the throat again and picked her up off the floor, holding her in the air as she choked her.
"L-Lyssa stop!" Bex begged.
Bex's legs flailed around in the air and her arms pried at Lyssa's hand.
Lyssa was taking in deep breaths of rage, she was furious like Bex had never seen before. A true monster. Bex gasped for air and looked at Lyssa in utter shock.
"I am the vampire; I am your master! I own you; you must obey me." Lyssa shouted in her face.
Bex was at her limit, she could feel her neck bruising from how hard Lyssa was squeezing. Her eyes bulged and her face darkened as she ran out of breath.
"And when a slave doesn't know its place, there is only one thing you can do." Lyssa sneered.
Bex felt the blood vessels in her eyes pop. She was so terrified. This wasn't Lyssa, she refused to believe that the girl she knows and loves could or would do this to her.
Bex grabbed Lyssa's arm firmly and chocked out,
"You won't hurt me."
She believed in it so much, she knew with all her heart Lyssa, her Lyssa would never hurt her. She had faith in her. And that faith saved her. Lyssa was blasted back into the wall, knocking the Tv over in the process. She dropped Bex to the floor who took large gasps for air.
Bex coughed and rubbed her aching throat, looking up at Lyssa.
Lyssa struggled to her feet. She held her head and screamed out in pain. Bex watched with wide eyes as Lyssa was split in two right in front of her. There was a large blast of power and Bex got blasted back into the wall. One Lyssa got blasted into the hall, while the other crashed into the dresser.
"Ugh..." Bex groaned as she opened her eyes and looked up.
Lyssa was standing in front of her, but she instantly knew this wasn't her Lyssa. This Lyssa looked cruel. She had red eyes and just a darker feeling to her in general. This was the Lyssa Bex often saw in Lyssa's memories, the ruthless killer, the red widow.
Before Bex could react, the evil Lyssa picked her up and threw her out the window. The glass shattered along with the wooden window frame. Bex cried out in pain and flew threw the air. Before she could crash down to the bottom, she felt strong arms catch her.
They landed on the floor with a hard thud and when Bex opened her eyes she was greeted with Lyssa's kind chartreuse eyes. Her Lyssa.
"You are pathetic!" another Lyssa appeared in front of them.
"Lyssa, what the hell is going on?" Bex asked as Lyssa helped Bex to her feet.
"The curse..." Lyssa said in shock.
Bex stumbled around, her back now killing her because it took the brunt force of the impact.
"The curse?" Bex looked at her.
"She escaped." Lyssa got in a defensive stance.
"I told you I'd get out of there, now it's my turn to be in control."
