Yeah right.

Like sleep was gonna fix the rising anxiety of trying to be herself to see if this family would actually like her.

So she does what she always has.

Pretends to no give a fuck and keeps her guard up to any question or suggestion.

She comes down the stairs nervously but hides her nervous scent well.

The years of experience helps.

She had gotten dressed, not sure if she was supposed to get dressed or just where her new pajamas.

Clementine goes into the kitchen and a delicious smell smacks her in the face. She breathes it in greedily.

Bacon. Toast. Eggs. And sausage.

She slinks over to her chair closest to the kitchen door so she can escape if needed.

She does this because...

because of the variety of families shes been with? 

Yeah.

She'll put it in those words.

"Morning Clementine..." Maria sets a plate down in front of her.

Maria lets off her warm cherry scent and clementine almost purrs from the motherly smell.

But she fights it down.

Clementine digs into her food to distract herself.

David chuckles," Hungry much?"

Clementine glances at him but pays more attention to the food.

Dani comes in yawning and rubbing his eyes. He smells like warm cherry pie with a hint of cake.

A mixture of his parents scents.

He gives the food a wide grin until he spots clementine.

His warm smell turns burnt on her tongue.

He glares at her.

She returns his look.

"So Clementine... I was thinking me and youuu..." Maria sits down next to her husband placing a plate of food down for Dani,"Could go out today and have a girls day... We could go clothes shopping and look through the mall if you want..."

Clementine swallows her food and thinks for a moment.

That'd be fun.

"Yeah sure... Gives me something to do..."

"Great!" Maria smiles,"We'll go out in about a hour..."

They all start eating the room gong quiet.

Then Clementine remembers.

"Maria?"

Maria looks up,"Oh- yes dear?"

"Can a friend of mine come over?" Clementine asks not showing how much she wants to see Soushi.

Its been almost 7 months since they last saw each other in person.

"Oh um..." Maria looks at her husband.

"I don't mind as long as it's not some punk..." David stands rubbing his full belly,"Thank you dear..."

"You're welcome honey..." Maria says then turns her bright smile to clementine,"Yes your friend can come over dear... Just tell him to come over at around 3 and he can stay for dinner..."

Clementine nods but is screaming with joy in her head.

She gets to see Soushi.
