I know it has been a while and I am sorry. I promise that I am working on the next chapter at this very moment. Also, thank you so much for 175 reads! I was not expecting that at all and I am truly thankful for all of you. Anyways, get ready for some drama in this chapter.
Third Person
Adrien gently knocked on the trap door that lead to Marientte's bedroom.
"Almost done! Tell Plagg I have some leftover camembert in the fridge." She shouted from her bedroom.
"Thanks, m'lady!" he responded before descending down the stairs towards the fridge. Plagg then sassily flew out of Adrien's shirt.
"I love her! At least she knows how to take care of me" Plagg snapped as Adrien handed him a piece of cheese. Adrien simply rolled his eyes at the snarky comment. Plagg could be such a pain some times! Not too long after, Marinette appeared from her bedroom wearing her typical outfit.
"Beautiful as always, princess," he commented with a flirty wink. Marinette's face turned a deep crimson. She picked up her school bag and made her way down to the bakery with Adrien close behind. The two waved goodbye to Marinette's beloved parents and began their trip to school hand in hand. The rain had stopped a few hours prior. Dark clouds still painted the sky, blocking out the warmth and light that the sun provided. Adrien was grateful for the pause in rainfall. Nonetheless, he had a slight feeling that the rain would return much sooner than he would prefer. As they neared the school, Marinette saw a familiar boy with dark hair and dyed blue tips dropping off Juleka on his motorcycle. They made eye contact and waved at each other with a smile plastered on both of their faces. Luka has had a crush on Marinette ever since they first met, even though he knew she loved Adrien. When Juleka told him that Marinette and Adrien became a couple, he was a little jealous but still supported their relationship. Luka understands that Adrien is a good guy but the moment he breaks her heart, who knows what he will do. Adrien waved to Luka as well and he waved back before he drove off.

Mrs. Bustier had let the class out early, so Adrien had some time to spear before his fencing practice began. He didn't really have anything to do, so he simply sat down on a bench in the locker room and went on his phone. Without thinking, Adrien's finger taped on the photo app, revealing all of the photos he had taken over the years. He scrolled through the photos with a joyful expression. Some photos were of him and Marinette, others with Marinette alone, and even some with the whole gang (Marinette, Adrien, Alya, and Nino). His joyful expression rapidly faded when he came across the photos with him and his mother. A wave of misery and pain overcame him as he gazed into the emerald eyes that he missed so much. The eyes that once gave him comfort during the hard times. Unknowingly, a tear escaped from his right eye and traveled down his cheek as his heart ached in pain. All of a sudden, he felt a hand rest on his right shoulder. He glanced over and saw Marinette sitting right next to him. Her blue bell eyes showed so much care as she gazed into his emerald eyes that held so much agony. Her heart ached for him and she embraced him in a tight hug that was full of love and reassurance. More tears fell down Adrien's face as Marinette rubbed his back.
"Shhhhh everything is going to be okay," she softly whispered into his ear. She pulled away from the hug and wiped the tears away from his face with her thumb.
"I just miss her so much," he whimpered.
"I know you do, but you need to move on," she remarked.
"What?" he questioned with shock written all over his face.
"I know you're still hurting, but you need to move on with your life. Don't let this hold you back," she implied. Adrien was shocked at her words.
"How could you?" he muttered as he slightly moved away from her touch.
"What do you mean?" she questioned with confusion.
"How dare you tell me to get over her. She is my mother! How can I just get over someone who was so important to me?" he snapped.
"No! That's not what I meant. I just think it's time for you to move on. I understand that it's not going to be easy for you but-"
"You know what? You're so ungrateful! You don't understand how it feels to lose someone who was so close to you. You still have both of your parents who spoil you rotten with everything you could ever want"- Adrien stood up from the bench and towered over Marinette- "You don't have to deal with a father who suddenly stops loving and caring for you after the death of your mother! You take everything you have for granted. So how fucking dare you tell me to get over the death of the most important person in my life," Adrien insulted. All Marinette could do was sit there and stare at her boyfriend with wide eyes. She was stunned to say the least. She knew his mother's death was a sensitive topic for him, but he had never blown up like this before. More importantly, he had never cursed before either. This was so unlike him. She stood up to try to console him however, he did not seem to like that. He set both of his hands on her shoulders and pushed her away.
"What has gotten into you? I'm just trying to help-" he interrupted her cries once again.
"Stop! I don't need your stupid help. You're a worthless piece of shit. You try to help everyone and everything but you just end up making things worse and-" his ramble was cut short when two figures rushed to their sides.
"Adrien! Dude! Calm down," Nino, Adrien's best friend, exclaimed. Alya, Marinette's best friend, came to her side immediately after she noticed the tears in her eyes. She stood in front of Marinette just in case Adrien tried to hurt her. She did not trust Adrien whatsoever in this moment. His eyes had some sort of flame in them and she was not going to risk anything. "Chill, man," Nino added. Nino's words failed to stop Adrien as he pushed Nino aside with a strong force that almost knocked him to the ground and marched towards the two teenage girls. Marinette stepped in front of Alya and stared straight into Adrien's, now cold, eyes.
"I understand you're upset-" Marinette asserted but was interrupted again when Adrien's hand slapped her cheek with enough force to leave a bruise. Just that one action caused the whole room to fall in pit silence. Marinette slowly placed her hand on her stinging cheek and a river of tears began to fall down her face. This sight instantly caused Adrien to snap out of his rage. His eyes widened when he realized what he had just done. Had he really just destroyed any future he could of had with this amazing girl right in front of him?
"Marinette," he shouted, but he was too late. She had already turned away from him and ran out of the locker room and towards the school doors, ignoring any calls of her name.
