Alright, so this is a sort of backstory for Akoni and Xallaren, and a summary of the last chapter. 

In the last chapter, Xallaren was raped by his foster parent. Sorry to be so blunt, but that's what happened. Some of it may have been weird, and I'm sorry. I had to read a few things to help me because I don't write things like that, and I had no clue how it would work. 

Omegas in the foster system are always treated far worse than Alphas. Usually, Alphas and Betas are the ones cleared for adoption and fostering, because they usually have better jobs, and can take better care of the kids. Single Omegas almost never get cleared, because they are treated worse in society, and they always get the shorter end of the stick. They have to fight harder to survive and have to deal with forceful attempts of mating. That's what pepper spray was made for. I'm kidding, but it is highly illegal to mate an Omega by force, and you can get it put on your record, and then it's super-duper hard to find a job. No jail time or private parts cut off (my choice of punishment) for a while, because a newly mated Omega is basically useless, and will fall into depression if their mate isn't with them 24/7 for at least two weeks. If the Omegas are in the low for too long, they often commit suicide or start self-harming or secluding themselves from others. Employers will give the weeks off, and if it was forced, the Alpha would be fired. After the two weeks, the Alphas/Betas are left with no defence against the law. They can be arrested, or whatever the law seems fit enough to pay for the crimes. If they are raped but not marked, the Alpha/Beta are able to be tried immediately. Most rape cases only become a big deal if the Omega has a powerful mate, they come from a powerful family, or they were forcefully mated. If none of those fit the Omega, the cases are usually brushed off, and discarded as a lie from the Omega. 

I had Xallaren get raped, because it shows you what he goes through, and you get to know him a bit more. Hre doesn't care if he dies or not, as long as his brother is comfortable and safe with someone to love him. Both of these siblings are overprotective and would die for the other.  Xallaren is an Omega, and didn't have the same strength as his brother, so he had to find something else that worked for him, and helped him protect his brother. he was overly mouthy, and insulted foster parents to get the attention off of his brothers, so that he would be the one constantly in trouble, and more hated. He knows that he most likely won't get adopted, so he tries not to get attached to homes or people. He has been hurt by so many Alphas and Betas, that he developed a deep sense of fear towards them, but he was tired of being afraid, so he tried to turn it into hatred. When that didn't work, he tried to cut them out of his life. And it's worked so far.

Akoni, Xallaren's brother, is the older of the two, and an Alpha. Whenever they change foster homes, he is treated better and even spoiled. He was the ideal child to adopt, but whenever someone would try, he would bring up what they do to his brother. Every kid wants to have a parent, but these two think that this was their ideal life, on the run from family, never settling down for too long, and as soon as they finish college, they could go wherever they want. Xallaren could, of course, finish everything early and leave his brother behind or wait, but that would mean staying at their foster home longer, and he doesn't want to start liking them. I'm pretty sure with the last episode, that's not gonna be happening anytime soon. Xallaren is two years younger than Demitree and Akoni, and he skipped two grades. He skipped them in fourth grade, and he could've skipped more, but he wanted to stay with people he knew. Akoni isn't always aware of what's happening to his brother, because Xallaren would go to any length to seem strong in front of his brother. 

Demitree and Xallaren met when Xae was 4 and Demitree 6. They became best friends because they were so alike but so different, and they loved each other. Not literally, but like brothers. they would also die for each other. They usually tell each other their secrets and help each other whenever the other needs it. Demi has no idea what Xae goes through, and helps him through panic attacks and anxiety attacks. Demi is scared of love because he loves Xae and Akoni, but he watches them hurt so much, and he doesn't want to love someone else that gets hurt as they do. Xallaren is scared of sleep because he has terrible nightmares. Akoni is scared of heights. Not much on that one. He's just a chicken around cliffs, on airplanes, or on roofs. Xae and Demi think it's funny because he's really scary normally, but breaks down 3 feet off of the ground. 

Alright, I'm going to stop now, and let the story unfold on its own. Not many major spoilers, just a few ideas of the characters relationships, and how the system works,
