As Mikayla walks off to find her locker, I stand on my own. Her locker is halfway across the school, and we don't have a class together until third period. Which means that I am alone until then. "Hey Blythe!" I hear a familiar voice call, and I instantly want to run. I look to the owner of the voice to see none other than Kai Warner. Kai...how do I explain him? He's basically Flash Thompson...but he doesn't leave me alone.
"What do you want, Kai?" I ask as he walks towards me, a smirk on his freckled ginger face. He stands beside me and brushes hair that isn't there away.
"Can't I talk to my girlfriend?"
"I'm not your girlfriend, Kai." He rests his hand on the side of my face. I grab his wrist and twist it down, causing him pain. "I already told you that I'm not fucking interested. Why can't you get that through your stupid little head of yours?"
"C-can you let my wrist go?" Kai says quickly, wincing in pain. I let it go, and he shakes it while staring at me as if I was nuts.
"You know who my parents are. You know who my connections are. I was trained by Natasha fucking Romanoff. Don't mess with me." Kai stares angrily at me again, and then moves to slap me. His hand is just a centimeter from my face when I grab his wrist again, this time squeezing it tightly. I knee him in the stomach and then whack his back, which causes him to fall over onto the floor while clutching his stomach.
I take my books from my locker and bend down to his eye level. "Don't fucking mess with me, Kai. I can do so much worse to you." I slam my locker door and walk off, extremely pissed off. Everyone with lockers in the area had formed a small crowd, including Peter and Ned. I'm so annoyed and over Kai's bullshit that I don't notice the growing blush on Peter's cheeks.

I walk into first period and sit down at my usual seat, sorting my stuff out. Home room was less awkward than it usually was, but it was filled with angry glares exchanged between myself and Kai. Peter slides into the desk next to me, which brightens my current mood a little. "I thought the way you handled Kai was really cool," He said softly, and it made me smile. "I know he really annoys you."
"I just snapped you know. But not in a bad way. I could have done so much worse, but I didn't." We have a chat for a few minutes, and blushes are beginning to spread onto both of our cheeks. This is cut short by my name being called over the loudspeaker, asking me to go to the principal's office. I guess what it's for, and immediately I start forming a plan in my head. Peter gives me a sympathetic thumbs up as I pack my things into my bag to leave, and I give him a thin smile in return.

"I assume that you know why you are here, Ms Rogers?"
"Is it about this morning?" I ask, already knowing the answer.
"It is indeed. I have already had a talk with Mr Warner, but I wanted to hear your side of the story without your parents here. So. Tell me."
"He was harassing me, like he always does. When he wasn't happy that I rejected him again, he tried to slap me. I grabbed his wrist and kneed him in the stomach in self defense. It's that simple."
"I see. And you understand that Mr Warner's parents are quite high up in the school?"
"And you understand who my parents and connections are? I shouldn't need to explain further."
"I cannot let you go unpunished, so I will be issuing two days suspension."
"So Kai's just getting off with a slap on the wrist?"
"No. Mr Warner has been dealt with a one month suspension. You are not the first person this has happened to, but you are the only student whose parents have more authority than his. I notified your parents, so they know you are going home.
"Thanks, I guess." I get up and walk out of the room, heading towards my locker. I grab my bag, get on my motorbike and ride home. No big deal.
