A few days later, Saul was in the bathroom removed the bandages and some dead skin from the ointment medicine.
“ugh. I can’t believe they have this amount of advanced medicine. They’d probably make a fortune if they sold it to hospitals everywhere.” Saul said as he washes off some parts of his body.
He flinches as he still feels the pain from yesterday. Though physically the bruises are not there he could still feel the pain he got for the past week. And just touching where it hurts gives him flashbacks of every blow Sara and Frey dealt on him. He then snaps out of it and finishes cleaning himself up. He then cleans up the tub by taking out the dead skin and dumping it in the trash. Suddenly, the mirror began to glow as it illuminates the room. He sighed in grief knowing that today will be the same as yesterday. Though he shakes in fear, he musters up the courage and dresses himself up for the day. He gets ready for Sara and Frey to come over or grab him through the mirror. But as the mirror clears up from the light, Sara and Frey were nowhere to be found.
“Huh? Sara? Frey?” he calls out as he looks at the mirror. He then crawls onto the sink and travels through the mirror and makes it to the other side.
“Guys?” he yells but sees that Sara and Frey were nowhere to be found. He then walks out of the bathroom and immediately been grabbed from behind.
“Heyo kiddo!” it was Kam and Jax grinning at Saul as they’re holding something behind them.
“You guys again?” Saul yells.
“Hey, that’s Kam and Jax to you kiddo. And we’re here to say that you’re with us today.”
“Wait what?” Saul asked
“Yeah, Sara and Frey had something to do something last minute so we’re in charge of you.” Kam says with a smirk.
“I don’t trust that look.” Saul said with a frown.
“Oh come on let’s use this opportunity to get to know each other.”
“And like I said. I DON’T TRUST THAT LOOK!!” he yells as he’s being taken away.
Meanwhile back in the main dining hall, Sara and Frey were still waiting for Saul as they sharpen weapons for his next training.
“Where the fuck is he?” Sara asks. Back to where Saul is at.
“Okay, if I’m going with you guys, then I need to prep…. Can you guys open a portal back to my place?” Saul asks.
“Jax then formed the spell sigil on the hallway mirror as Saul jumps right through the portal.
“The hell is he getting.?” Jax asks to himself.
Suddenly a huge backpack was shoved out from the portal along with a few more bags. Finally, Saul came out of the portal himself dressed in Camo gear.
“Okay, now I’m ready.” Saul said as he tightens his belt.
“Jeez, dude relax we’re just taking a walk over the wildness of this place not an on a journey to the west.” Jax jokingly said.
“I don’t know you guys all that well and I barely know the layout or explore the wilderness of this realm. So why should I take the chance?” Saul said as he put on the giant backpack on him and heads straight towards the front door.
Kam and Jax nodded and followed his and lead him towards the manor’s gate. Saul was still surprised the gate was still dented from the last time he came out here. Though he never properly explored the outside of the manor without a crazy man chasing him. Kam opened the gate for them and gestured that they head northeast. Saul is still marveled by the beauty of the trees of this world. Falling leaves like it were autumn they leave never end to falls. But then he remembered the horrors of being chased wolves of this world.
“Hey! Kiddo! You coming or what?” Kam yells.
“Oops, sorry!” Saul yells back. He snaps out of it and followed Kam and Jax deeper into the woodlands.
“Stick close by to us and you’ll be fine. Kam said.
As they venture further deep into the woodlands, Kam and Jax keep looking back to see if Saul can keep up with them but he still moves very slowly especially with that giant hunch backpack on him. They look up ahead as there a few uphill for them to walk and climb. They figured if Saul were to carry that bag with him it’ll slow them down.
“Hey, kid.” Jax yells.
“Would you guys stop calling me kid. My name is Saul” they cut him mid-sentence as they grabbed his backpack and tossed it far out east over the woodlands and across the mountains.
“Hey what the hell?” Saul angrily yells.
“Yeah, that bag of yours is gonna slow us down for what’s up ahead.” Kam replied.
“The hell does that mean?” Saul asks.
Kam then tosses him high into the air so he could see what he means. Which obviously failed as Saul was too busy screaming then looking. Kam then catches and tosses him up again but now Saul can see more of the mountain range ahead. But then he could also see the south city as well and the location where Sara and Frey took him for one of their missions. A chill ran through Saul’s spine as he still remembers the first has killed someone. Sure they were demons, but they still looked human to him. Kam then catches him midair and puts him down.
“See what I mean? Kid? Kam asks as Saul was spacing out again.
“oh, uh yeah. I … I see what you meant. Let’s … keep going.” Saul quietly said. Kam and Jax looked at each and knew something wasn’t right about him just now. He has something on his mind but they don’t ask him our right. They figured it would be best to ask him later if with a clear head. They went further on towards a canyon. Soon, they reach the canyon as the canyon was enormous as far as the eye can see.
“This was near the mansion all this time?” Saul ask.
“Nope, only recently. A couple of earthquakes cause this place to collapse on itself. We managed to self-contain the damage just by a little. The only thing that remanded of how it used to look like is that cliff right there.” Kam points at the center of the canyon surrounded by other cliffs as well.
“So, why we’re here?” Saul asked.
“You’ll see soon enough.” Kam says as he climbs down on the cliff below them.
Jax soon follows him as well But Saul was a bit iffy about climbing the steep cliffs. He then pulls out two small climbing axes from his waist then proceeds to follow them through the steep cliffs of the canyons. However, Kam and Jax were pros at climbing the cliffs of the canyon as they were way ahead of him. Saul puts the axes away and tries to catch up by free handing the cliff. He climbed a few feet away until a rock broke off, causing him to slip off a bit. Saul quickly grabs his ax and drags it on the cliff to stop him from falling completely. Though he succeeded the fall caused to pop his right shoulder.
“Kid! You Okay?!” Kam yelled.
“I’m fine! I .. I just lost my balance!” Saul yells back.
“Hold on I’ll be right! Jax, you go on ahead. We’ll catch up in a bit.” Kam said.
“Gotcha!” Jax said as he goes further deep into the canyon. Kam then parkours his way further towards Saul while he was still holding on to his ax.
“You alright?” Kam asked.
“Just barely. I think I popped my shoulder from the fall.” Saul replied.
“Alright, climb onto my shoulder. I’ll carry you the rest of the way.” Kam implied.
“No really, I’m fine! I just.. need to catch my breath. Let’s keep going.” Saul implied as he struggles to keep his grip on the cliff and the ax. Kam still didn’t want him to push himself too far. But he sees that he’s still determined.
“If you say so kiddo. Just follow my lead and you’ll be fine. If you need to catch your breath let me know. Got it?” Kam asked.
“Got it” Saul replied and nodded. They then began to make their further into Canyon. On the way, Saul could hear rushing water in the distance.
“We near a waterfall?” Saul asked.
“We are. Once we get inside, you’ll see them.” Kam implied.
“inside?” Saul asked. Kam leading upwards of the cliffs toward a small cave opening as he climbs and gives Saul a hand as he reached.
A strong breeze felt through the cave itself but, he couldn’t see anything deeper in the cave itself. Kam then snaps his fingers as fire flares from his hand and illuminate the caves.
“Shall we?” Kam asked.
Saul nodded as they ventured deep in the caves. Meanwhile, back in the manor, Sara and Frey were getting impatient for Saul to get here to train with new stuff. Sara is tapping her finger furiously on her snack table and Frey is tapping the floor with the sheath of his sword.
“Ugh, where the hell is he? How long has it been?” Sara complained.
“Nearly three hours and he’s tempting my patience to its limits. By the time he gets here I’m punishing him to my full extent.” Frey said as he continues to tap furiously.
Two maids entered the room with a small snack cart with a small with a bowl of cookies and a pitcher and a cup of milk with some concha bread on a plate. “Mistress Sara, your snacks.” One of the maids spoke.
“Thank you Misty. I needed a snack on something while I wait.” Sara sighed and snacked on a few cookies while Frey snack some on the concha bread.
“Mistress Sara, Master Frey are you still waiting for your member?” Misty ask.
“I saw him earlier.” The other maid spoke out. Sara and Frey jump out of their seats with their snacks still stuffed in their mouths.
“You did? Where BB?” Misty asked.
“I saw him leaving with master Kam and Jax. I thought it would be their turn to train him.” She implied.
Sara slowly drops her jaw as Frey slowly crushes the bread in anger as they both slam their fists on the snack table.
“THEY’RE SO FUCKING DEAD!!” They yell as they furiously jumped through the window that was coincidentally behind them. The shock wave of their jump shook the whole house and blew the snacks all over the room.
“I’ll warn Mistress Andrea to prepare for incoming patients.” Misty said.
“I’ll clean this up.” BB Said.
Meanwhile back in the canyon, Kam and Saul were journeying deeper in the cave. However, as ventured further, Saul could the waterfall getting louder and louder.
“We’re here.” Kam said.
He then closes his fist as the fire of his hand blew out. The cave then illuminated from the end of the tunnel as they could both see the water rushing down at the exit. Kam then waves his hand upward as the waterfall splits open to reveal a rock pathway across the river.
“Watch your steps kiddo,” Kam said as he walks on the path.
Saul cautiously walks along with him while being marveled that he’s underneath a waterfall without being crushed by its power. But he also wondered how big is it? After walking for about a few more meters they finally reached the end of the falls as Kam waves towards Jax at the end of the path who is waiting for them on a raft. Saul turned around and how huge the waterfall was up close. He roughly estimated the falls be at 40 kilometers.
“Hey! Kiddo! You coming or what?!” Jax yells to Saul.
“Coming!” Saul yells back as he hops on the rock to rock and catches up with them.
He slowly gets on the raft as Jax unties the raft as they head downstream towards the center of the canyon. All the while Sara and Frey were closing in their position full of rage. They were not too happy with Kam and Jax taking their new member without their permission.
“THOSE GUYS ARE SO FUCKING DEAD!!!”
