After having a wonderfully long sleep Ra and I are up and out. It’s cold but the sky is blue and the sun is out. First stop is to Don Quijote and we buy face masks. Everyone where’s then in Japan so we fit right in. Our first visit is to Ueno Park where we discover our first Starbucks. Free wifi and coffee to start the day. While there we discover Ueno Zoo and after a few quick messages with our American friend we decide to meet up at the zoo. Ra and I go for a walk around the area before meeting back an hour later.

The zoo was amazing but some of the animals were sick and we joked about them having the virus. Although we talked about the virus we still didn’t really think it was going to impact us. We are our mask and they kept our faces warm, that was a real plus.

We have a great day catching up. We laughed, ate too much and when we arrived home early evening Ra and I went to bed early.
