Violet's POV
Adonis caught my eye as I was heading back to Leon's room. He looked deep in thought, leaning against a stone wall that led to another hall. His eyebrow twitched as I approached him.
He turned his head in my direction, "Hey, Vi."
" Hey, Don. I wanna ask you something that's been on my mind lately. " I gathered my hair onto one shoulder.
"Sure, what's up?" , he smiled.
"You're aware that Kion told me to pretend to fall for Leon in order to get on his sensitive side, so that we can find out more about him, right?" I said loosely.
" Uh-huh, yeah? " Adonis replied and gestured for me to continue.
"What would you say if... I uh- hypothetically, really DID fall for him?" I nervously twiddled my thumbs together.
" Vi? " Adonis' expression shifted to a worried frown.
"HYPOTHETICALLY!!" I blurted, raising my hands to assure him.
Adonis kept his green eyes concentrated on my expression, analyzing every twitch. " Vi, you're in love with him, aren't you? "
My eyes shot wide at his question, "N-No, I was just wondering if that happened - which it hasn't - if that would be bad?"
" Because you're in love with him. ", His voice was sure this time, not questioning like before.
" Tsk, no, I just feel bad because I've spent time with him and he seems like a genuinely good person! I don't want to break his heart by using him. " I insisted, placing my hands behind my back.
"Vi, that's what you were told to do. Then, after he agrees to join us and fight, you dump him." , His tone became deep and harsh. "Not that I agree that you should stomp on his heart," His voice was serious, " But you should be careful Vi, you might end up being the one who gets hurt. "
"Yeah, I guess you're right." I sighed in defeat.
" Good. " Don ruffled my hair and smiled, heading down the hall towards the main lodge.
