After Bethany came to the table, everything got awkward. Xallaren would space out and glare at me for no reason before talking to her again. No one else talked. Maybe they felt it too? I don't know, but they all seemed embarrassed. Lunch is over now, and Xallaren is walking with me to a leadership class? Then it's war class. That's an actual thing. It's one of my favorite classes. The teacher's a nut and gives the best assignments. Anyway, we're walking, and neither of us is talking. It's so awkward.
"Fair warning, if you hurt her in any way, I can do the same to you," His face is so dark, it scares the sh*t out of me. he's supposed to be nice? he looks worse than my dad when he gets angry.
"Duly noted," I don't want to give him the upper hand, an show my surprise. He nods, the smile magically appearing on his face. He looks up at me, eyes closed, teeth bared.
"G-great!" He's so excited? What type of demon is this? What's with that stutter? does he have like, multiple personalities? Is he bipolar? I hope not. That would be scary. He walks a bit bouncier, still smiling like a clown. We're close to the classroom. Oh gosh. Why am I so nervous? It doesn't matter, this conversation is almost over. We're stepping through the door, and the late bell rings. We barely made it. My mom would have killed me if I was late.
"Morning, everyone!" The teacher was a happy man, late 20's? Dunno. He has brown hair with dyed blonde ends, and his eyes are a shiny blue. Not the baby blue, but like a dark blue. He greets everyone, hands on his hips. He was an Alpha. Makes sense. An Omega as a teacher is very uncommon. They get really shy around big crows sometimes, so they don't really do teaching or public speaking. There are a lot of Omega writers, though. It's crazy. There are also a lot of Omega actors and artists. And Architects. They're really good at what they do. I don't think that I know a single Alpha that could build a better structure than the Eiffel tower. They're crazy good at that stuff. I'm not saying Alphas cant do that stuff, and Omegas can't do our stuff, I'm just saying that's what people group them with. Betas are lucky, and they're in-between. They can do whatever they want.
We're all sitting down, waiting for the teacher to start. Why is he so slow?
"Alright, class! You ready?" Everyone mumbles a reply, Xal being the only one to peppily say yes. Peppily? really peppy? Whatever. The teacher smiles at him, obviously pleased.
"So, as in every other class, you will have the magic test at the end of the year. They probably haven't told you, but we have one on Friday as well. It was supposed to be a surprise, but I want all of you to be prepared. Today will be a relaxing day, and we'll just find where we sit and introduce ourselves. I want your entire name, two facts, and your dream for the future. I'll go first!" Ugh. He's too happy.
"I'm Allen Mace Smare. You can laugh at me, I know it's a silly name. I have ten siblings, and I'm the oldest. I am an Alpha. My dream is to do what I'm doing for the rest of my life. I enjoy taking students and having an impact on their lives. So, who's next?" He walks around, looking for someone to call on. I should have seen this coming, because he stops in front of Xae, looking down on him expectantly.
"You wanna go, kid?" He smiles. I don't like this. I have a bad feeling about this guy, and I feel like it's because of the way he looks at Xae. I glare at him, watching as Xae squirms. He was nervous. I would be too, but I didn't think that he would be nervous. He acts so brave and confident. He clenches his fist, smiling and nodding.
"Stand up, please," The teacher gives him another pervy smile, stepping back and walking to the back of the classroom.
"My name is Xallaren Luna ʻai Naga. My last name means Dragon, and my middle name is Prince. I actually have two middle names, but the other ones embarrassing. My dream is to be a dictator!" Everyone looks at him like he's crazy. He is.
"If I become a dictator, no one can boss me around, and I can be stronger than everyone else!" He sounded so angry and upset. And determined.
"Interesting. Choose someone to go next, okay, Xallaren," The teacher was gleaming with excitement, eyeing Xallarens ass. What a creep. I mean, he does have some nice curves, but that dude's a teacher. That's not okay. Xallaren smiles and nods, turning to me.
"I pick Belle!" He smiles and points to me, mischief his obvious plan. I grimace, standing up, and beginning.
"My name is Abel ...... King...."
