"Well!" Emma stands grinning.

They've been here for an hour and 30 minutes and the only one who's been talking was Emma.

She looks at Soushi,"Soushi baby... Help me with the trash..."

Soushi looks confused,"But I'm not done with mine Emma-"

"Come. On." She says through clenched teeth glancing at Clementine and Ashley.

Clementine and Ashley both know that she just wants her and Soushi to leave so they'll be forced to be alone together.

Soushi stands realizing what his girlfriend wants and follows her to the trash cans furthest away from their booth.

Even though there's one like 5 feet from them.

Ashley sighs,"I am so fucking sorry..."

"Thank god I wasn't the only one thinking that..." Clementine mumbles.

Ashley snorts,"She didn't tell me she was setting me up till after I was here..."

"Oh ouch..." Clementine looks at him now.

"Yeah..." He sighs,"I told her not to do this to me..."

"I didn't know about this either... When Soushi said a double date I didn't think he was serious..." Clementine mutters darkly.

Ashley snorts and they go quiet for a moment.

Ashley sighs,"So... You're an omega right?"

"Wha- oh yeah I am..." Clementine mutters.

"Hm... I'm an alpha..." Ashley huffs.

Clementine sighs.

They sit there feeling dumb.

"Hey... Just asking... You're 17 right?" Ashley looks at her.

"Yeah..." Clementine stares at him.

They stare at each other for incredibly too long.

He leans closer and whispers in her ear.

"Question two... Wanna get out of here?" He mutters.

Clementine knows what he wants.

She knows what he means too.

"Yeah lets go-" she says quickly and grabs his hand.

They run out of the cafe while Soushi and emma have their backs turned.

Ashley leads her to a car outside and he gets in the drivers seat turning it on.

Clementine gets in the passenger seat and he pulls out.

And just as they're passing the front doors Soushi opens the front door obviously looking for her.

He looks around but doesn't catch her in the front seat because she sinks low hiding below the window.

Shit she hates that he was looking for her.

Ashley pulls off to the side of the road and parks the car.

"Welp-" Ashley puts his seat back then he reaches over her and pulls her seat back too getting over her,"Ready?"

"When ever you are..." Clementine mutters.

Ashley leans close to her face and kisses her hard.

She doesn't mind it.

Shes dealt with worse.

"You're growling..." Ashley looks at her.

Yup its definitely there.

Low and barely audible but its there.

"Ignore it... Its a habit..." She mutters.

Ashley stares at her for a moment,"Are You sure?"

Clementine huffs and stares at him.

Shit what was she thinking.

"Hmhm thought so..." Ashley smiles,"I'm not mad don't worry..."

She gives a low growl and punches his shoulder,"I don't give a shit if you're mad dip shit-"

He rolls over to the drivers side with a chuckle,"Soush wasn't lying when he said you're feisty for an omega..."

"Being an omega has nothing to do with personality..." Clementine mutters.

"Oh yeah?" Ashley huffs a laugh,"At least I'm not the only one that thinks that..."

Clementine chuckles at that,"Wow... I wasn't expecting a dumb alpha to think like that..."

"Hey! Being an alpha has nothing to do with my unique stupidness!" Ashley grins at her.

She gives a small smile and stares at her feet.

"How about..." He sets up on his elbows,"We just be buddies huh?"

"Fine by me..." Clementine mutters and looks at him.

Ashley stares at her then shakes his head grinning.

"Don't look at me like that... What are you shaking your head about?" Clementine sets up in a crouching position.

"Just..." He snorts a laugh and shakes his head again,"You're just so incredibly in love with this guy and you don't even realize it..."

"I-" she gawks at him,"Soushi!?"

"Yeah!" Ashley nods at her.

"I do realize it asshole!" She yells at him.

Ashley raises his brows,"As a friend or as your alpha?"

"As my fucking alpha dip shit! I've seen him like that for fucking years!" Clementine glares and looks away embarrassed.

Ashley stares at her then sighs,"Have You told him?"

She squeezes her hand into fists so they won't fidget with anything,"Yes..."

"You did!" He looks completely surprised.

"Yes... I told him when I was a few weeks from 16..." She mutters.

"Oh..." Ashley sighs.

"He never... Returned my feelings..." She quietly utters and looks out the windshield.

Ashley puffs his cheeks raising his brows and shakes his head,"Shit that sucks..."

Clementine nods,"Yeah... Yeah it does..."

Ashley sets his seat back up,"Hey... Wanna lay on the roof?"

She raises her brow,"Hah?"

"Yeah! Soush did a total fucking backflip off my diving board and did a loud ass belly flop right into the fucking pool!" Ashley laughs with her.

They're laying on the roof of his car staring at the stars.

Their laughing dies out and they stare at the stars.

Ashley sighs,"Emma... Shes my friend... But she pissed me off when she told me she set me up..."

Clementine glances at him,"Why?"

Ashley fiddles with his shirt,"Well... I just got out of a really long relationship..."

"Oh..." Clementine glances at him again,"How long?"

Ashley swallows then turns his head from her,"Two years..."

Oh shit.

Damn.

Having a two year relationship just get blown up like that.

"... I asked her to marry me actually," he mutters still keeping his expression hidden.

Clementine swallows hard.

Should she say something to comfort him?

No she'd probably make it worse because she's shit at words.

"She said no-" he takes a deep breath,"And admitted to cheating on me for more than 3 months..."

Holy shit!

Shit.

She should say something.

But what?

Like shes any good at comforting people.

So instead she uses her scent.

She let off the sweet vanilla Carmel to calm him cause she can smell his nervousness strongly.

He gives a wet laugh,"Thanks..."

"No problem..." She stares at the stars.

"Hey..."

She looks over at Ashley.

He smiles at her wiping at his eyes,"Soush... I can tell he doesn't feel love for Emma... You can tell just by the way he acts around her..."

Clementine is So glad she wasn't the only one to think that.

"I don't think they'll last too long... So..." He smiles at her,"I suggest you hold onto your feelings..."

Clementine huffs a laugh,"Have been for years."
